What I love most about Rapunzel and Eugene as a couple is that their storylines aren't always defined by the fact they're a couple. For example in season 1 there were episodes where both were doing their own separate from each other thing, maybe chatting in the meantime if they crossed paths but not everything was defined by the relationship. I love them dearly however I get that they might not speak to everyone. I also really like the failed proposals and different issues because I feel like it's rare for Disney princesses to have relationship problems. And shipping Rapunzel and Cass is so real, their relationship is awesome so it's only logical to ship them imo, they're great. I'm excited for you to watch the rest of the season!

I was excited to see your reaction to this start of the next season. I am somebody that loves absolutely the rapunzel and Eugene pairing, however, I get what you mean about Cass. And that is why I ship rapunzel with both of them in a polyamorous relationship. (Not Cass and Eugene together though). I feel like she benefits from both these relationships and they both love her so much. I think that I really enjoy seeing Rapunzel and Eugene's relationship problems because we rarely get this much development for a disney princess or fairytale couple. But yes, Eugene and Rapunzel are in totally different mindsets so far. She's focused on destiny and freedom and he, being a thief who has spent his whole life running, wants to settle down and be happy finally. I'm glad Eugene isn't a jerk about any of it because that would've ruined him, but I love that they talk (somewhat) and figure it out. I was excited for you to meet Adira because I had a feeling you'd like her character. And im glad you were excited to see more about the Baron. So much interesting backstory and plot this season. It's gonna be fun!

THANK YOU!!!! I'm tell you they changed something about his character from the movie. Like I thought they were adorable in the movie and I was rooting for them, but in the show they're relationship has lost it's appeal to me and I think a lot of it has to do with the way Eugene acts in the show compared to the movie.

I always go back and forth between my enjoyment of Eugene's and Rapunzel's relationship in the series, especially since they're so charming in the movie. (And because I also reaaaally like Cass x Raps). 😭 I think it's partly to do with the fact that Eugene as a character in the show just feels slightly ooc. He was always naturally comedic in the movie, but in some instances, it feels like they over-wrote his character as comedic relief in the show to the point he feels more insincere and dumbed down. It's why I appreciate his serious episodes even if they don't always land, because it feels like course-correction and steering him back to the development he received in the movie.

I totally understand caring about Rapunzel x Eugene less because now there is Rapunzel x Cassandra as an option. I adore their relationship. I don't care it's not canon. I will always ship them. They balance each other so well and have such a strong friendship that has helped them both change for the better.
