The sad part is this is actually a sanitized version of Scanlan; the character in the campaign is so much worse. I almost stopped watching CR because of him and 8 years and 3 campaigns later, he's still at the bottom of my list. The LoVM version is at least bearable. As for the intro, some of it is window dressing, but other parts will start to make sense as you get into season 2.

The bag he placed the rifle in is called a Bag Of Holding. Very popular item to have in D&D. Allows you to stash a lot of loot & gear with minimal encumbrance. While it can store quite a lot, it is limited in its capacity. And if the bag is ripped / damaged, everything inside is scattered in another plane of existence.

It’s kind of funny. I’m asexual too but Scanlan is in my top 3 favorite characters along with Pike and Grog. He’s such a lovable bard who makes me smile. Pike and Grog’s relationship are also very lovely, and I live for it. As always, I love your reactions!! 😊😊😊

And... for that I'm waiting for season 3 (or maybe they leave it to 4, who knows?) for people that only knows the show and not Critical Role per sé to pass over the same process we old fans had with Scanlan. Sam Riegel, Scanlan's player and voice actor, plays always a very devious long game ;)

Likely because if the reasoning, scanlan is just sex jokes for the sake of it whereas Angel's comes from a place of trauma. Also their bond Morgan is much more attached to Angel than scanlan
