To add one thing that someone else drew my attention to is that Crowley calls out to one of Noahs Sons BY NAME! I always thought that "Shem" was an old word for "dude or pal or such..." but his name was Shem! So Crowley is playing his not knowing what's going on...when he even knows Noahs sons name and calls him by his first name!

Oh my god, I just got it. That's why hastur said in Episode one that "ciao" (=chow) meant 'food' 🤯 I always thought he was just randomly stupid

Yep, so also, "You go too fast for me" stabbed all of us in our queer little hearts and we lost what was left of our ding-dang minds after THE LOOK in the ruins of that church. There is a large community of fans shipping right along with you, please don't feel you need to apologize for it. If you're interested in fic recs there's a ton of stuff we could rec once you're done with season 1 that was written prior to the release of season 2. (There are also post-s2 fics once you get there but there was more time to build up a bigger catalog of fic between what was written based on the book and the four-year gap between the seasons.) There's a fair amount that involves smut but also a decent amount working from the interpretation that they're ace, including some of my all time favorites.

Crowley's animal aspect shows through the snake tattoo on his face. It is maybe unusually subtle and less nasty-looking than the other demons, but that mostly comes down to personal preference, and for celestial beings, expectation and desire have a part in shaping reality-- they don't make it quite as clear in the show as the book. For instance in the book we're told that the reason Crowley's almost always listening to Queen in the Bentley is that, as he understands, any tape that's left in a car for longer than two weeks will inevitably turn into the Greatest Hits of Queen. Similarly, I believe any of the fallen angels could manifest wings if they wanted to, but they choose not to. Crowley has a different view on things from most demons, but for reasons of practicality usually keeps his wings out of sight also.

Pretty sure that one doesn't require an explanation. I'll admit, I did not expect you to get this sucked in so quickly. But there's no suppressing the shipper in you. This is one of my favorite episodes from season 1. The 28 minute cold open that goes through their meetings throughout the years is absolutely wonderful. I could watch so much more of them just interacting throughout all of human history.

So what Shadwell is doing is because he’s sticking to tradition, the Witchfinder Army’s salaries haven’t changed in hundreds of years, so he made up a bunch of nonexistent members in order to scam Aziraphale Crowley and supplement his income, and in the scene with Crowley he looks at the table and makes up Corporal Table

Also fun fact about shipping these two, the actors actually made the interactions between aziraphale and crowly so loving ESPECIALLY the LOOKS they give each other every scene because they actually want them to be together! There's a reason they have such a popular ship name! 😍😍😍💘 your shipping heart will love this show just like mine and everyone else! ♥️ p.s I haven't read the books but im sure the actors went above and beyond with their characters

I’ll say this before you watch any more episodes, HAVE CAPTIONS ON. Sometimes it can be hard to understand them with their thick accents so I’d highly recommend you put on captions so you don’t misinterpret them.
