I loved discovering the movie with you! took me time to watch it i was passing my exams the last month and now i'm slowly catching up with your content! this movie is really amazing at picturing how anxiety overcomes everything when we let it control our lives a bit too much. I'm working on my anxiety "management" (let say) and saying it with you was really great! and yes Joy is giving sapphic vibes even in the first movie and I thought I was going bad! , thank you for validating my gut on this xD See you around! This was delightful! Loved how Anxiety was presented. Seizing control of Riley's imagination, being an absolute control freak, and never knowing when to back off. Absolute mood. I really loved how they depicted the panic attack. What's more, showing the grounding techniques without explicitly stating what was going on. Personally, I interpreted Riley's infatuation with Valentina simply as wanting to impress the cool older kid, but if a sapphic tells me there might be something gay going on, I will not dispute. I always attributed Joy's regard for Riley's crushes as more the proud parent, that nobody would ever be good enough for her Riley, but I can see how this might imply sapphic tendencies. It's not problematic to think she might have a crush on Valentina. A lot of people have this experience growing up, crushing on someone who's too old for them. It's only problematic if you want Valentina to reciprocate.
