Apologies for not updating new progress this month. Unfortunately, I've been sick from covid for half a month and then proceeded to be occupied with pre-holiday madness at work. The fact that I'm not yet familiar with Unreal and Blender is also part of the reason.
That being said, I've been spending my limited free time practicing/learning techniques such as animating and modifying models in Blender, as well as setting up camera systems in-game to allow the player to switch camera views.
That was all pretty fun, but when I actually tried to implement all that in-game, I realized how much more time-consuming it all was compared to 2D. I've conveyed this on discord recently, but a single room takes 3 days just for me to render, and animations with any decent length take like half of month to actually make (I bought a pretty decent premade model just to try it out)....
What I'm trying to say is, I'm seriously considering switching back to 2D for this game. I know I'll be much more comfortable creating the exact same game, just in 2D. At the end of the day, game creation is my hobby. I don't really want to spend multiple years working on the same game, if that makes sense.

Your stuff is excellent, and I totally understand the desire to want to better your craft while not really having the time to do so. If you wish to stay 2D and feel it is the right choice both for you and the game, I wholly support you and know it will come out just as awesome as Mansion did!
