I'm a bit grumpy with Amrit at the moment but hey I think I'm usually mad at at any character or any time so we move on. Anyway I'll have a whole other post to rant about that later. On to production progress, it's been a while so please excuse my ramble.
At the moment of writing renders and animations are fundamentally done. Like always there are batches of fixes that need to be done, but usually nothing complicated. At the current moment I do have a not insignificant group that needs to be redone , we're talking a few hundred and if you're paying attention you might deduce there's a reason I'm currently mad at Amrit. Jokes aside I was the one who made the fuck up so alas the blame lies at my feet. But it a bit of a time waster. If you've ever been in one of my art streams you've witnessed the sometimes glacial pace of opening Daz files. 5-10 min load times are not uncommon. then the time to fix and re save the file ect. So extrapolate that out and you can get an idea of how it can be a rather vexing endeavor. Fortunately for me the process is straightforward so I can work on other things while files load. Here's a quick list of what I need to finish up on my end.
Final coding: This is self explanatory
Tester cheat sheet: With Part 8 starting a whole separate file I want to make sure my testers know exactly what they do and don't need for their imported saves, so I'm writing a little cheat sheet for them. I'm hoping it helps expedite the testing process a bit. I admit I let the branches on this one get a bit away from me so I'm trying to make their lives easy as possible. Also considering bringing on another tester or two, depending on the current groups schedules are looking (They're very good so lots of devs like to snap them up.) We'll see on that.
Finishing up some UI elements: I'm mostly happy with this but I'm making some final tweaks, the ever kind Digi.b of Artemis fame is assisting me so if it ends up bad definitely blame him instead of me.
The above items plus the aforementioned fixs are the last bits of shit on my plate, then we can finally get this in your hands and out of my hair. I know I often repeat it but I greatly appreciate your patience with me this update cycle, I know it's been a long time coming, but you guys have really been a great community and I want to make this the best I can. I've said it before but with this being the start of "Book 2" I wanted to take the time to start myself off on the best foot possible so I'm not scrambling to fix a whole bunch of shit later down the line. Once this SOB is out I'm going to work extra hard to return to a much better and more consistent cycle for you guys.
Two final notes, First schedule providing I'll have a big post hopefully this weekend that will go a bit more into depth about the Amrit issue causing the rerenders. It's very technical and art process stuff so I didn't think this was the appropriate post for it. Normally I'd keep it restricted to Blue Belts, but since you guys have been so great to me I'll open it up to everybody.
Second and this one is important, as I've mentioned a few times and will continue to mention until release Part 8 starts with an entire new file so before the release you need to be sure you have a save file transfer ready to import. Either the Steam editions or the current pinned editions here on the page will allow the transfer so make sure you take the time to get that taken care of before. You've waited plenty already and if you don't have a transfer ready you will NOT be able to just start at Part 8. I know I've mentioned it many a time, but I'm going to keep mentioning it because I want to give everybody ample opportunity to have that taken care of.

Amrit is a bit of a nuisance somehow I'm not surprised she's been giving Stew a hard time Probably her renders won't come out the way Stew wants them just like she won't keep her hands up when fighting (you should keep your hands up when you have that face and fighting for a living) ;) Still my favourite no doubt

Great news, I can't wait. Funny enough I was thinkin' just now I should save my paths properly with a current build to be ready for the next chapter. Side note, Amrit's face in this render look strange, like she has a mask on or way too much make up, especially next to Ines who's face seem really natural. I'm no expert maybe it's something with a skin tone or a lightning but still it's like a human being (Ines) is sitting next to a robot or someone who's had a face transplant. Ok maybe I went too far with that comparison but too much make up for Amrit still stands. Thanks for all the work

In case you're wondering why I won't be able to play. It's because it was a unfortunate 3-day span for me last week. Short version: Due to events last week, I lost my old phone, bought a new one, and lost my laptop, so I can't play my AVN atm (I don't play AVNs on my phone 😅). Here's how my 3 days went if you're interested in reading the longer version and how I feel. My old phone (a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5) broke on Sunday because of the touch screen (figures, ZFlips 😮💨). Repairing it would have cost $550, so I decided to buy a new phone on Wed. But then my laptop (an Alienware R13 R3), which I play my AVNs on, broke on Tues. I was using the laptop at work and mispositioned a cup of water, and it spilled all over my laptop (I had the slowest process/reaction in the world to it). So, now, I can't even play my AVNs anymore. I was in the middle of playing my Law School playthrough 😭. I already spent all my monthly earnings on the phone (I plan my spending in advance; you kind of have to when you're supporting many Devs like I am). Now the laptop is going to have to wait. I'm guessing a month or two at best before I can play AVNs again. Of course, I was sad when it happened (that laptop was my world, my everything 😭), but nothing I could do about it now. So, let's focus that energy elsewhere, focus on what I still have, and look forward to what's coming 😁. It's going to be hard quitting cold turkey for a while. I'm missing my AVNs HARD. The AVN's withdrawals IS STRONG!!! BUT, it will only make me more excited and hurry to get a new gaming laptop so I can get back into it when my Devs release their respective games (and continue on my never-ending backlog 😅). My Devs posts definitely help make my life happier and make my days brighter and better 😁. They'll keep me going strong in the meantime 💪🏻. Maybe… it was time to upgrade the laptop anyway (trying to find some positive in all this 🤣). "Nice try, Life. But, you can't ruin my positive energy, vibes, and outlook 😁!" And all was not lost 😁. I put all my AVNs on an external HD and play from it. I just need a laptop or PC to access it. But... my family doesn't really have another laptop or PC 😅. We have consoles, phones, and tablets 🤣. I did lose all my renders I collected throughout the years that were stored on my laptop. Hopefully the laptop's HD still works so I can recover them later in time. The only thing I'm worried about is my Devs releasing their games during this "no-laptop period." "I WANT TO PLAY TOO 😅!" The wait during this period is going to be INSANE!
