🕑 Added 2025-06-24 13:27:31 +0000 UTCHello everybody, today we have a smattering of customs, and other bits of art to whet your appetite a little. I'll try to be brief today, but forgive me if I ramble a bit, I have a decent amount to say.
Production wise last anim should be finished this week. I wanted to try something ambitious with this one, but again I bit off more than I could chew, ended up bluntly just not good, so had to scrap it and go in a different direction, I was actually fairly enthused by the concept so I admit that I'm a little put out it didn't come to fruition, but nothing to be done now so onward and upward. Besides that, this entire update cycle I've had one very specific scene that has been stuck in my craw no matter how much I revisited it I just haven't been happy with it, or the way I was telling it. This happens occasionally in the process of any creative work but this one has been particularly galling to me. Normally I'd just cut it or deal with it, but it's one of the most important scenes to understanding a specific character so I can't really do that this go round. So last week I took another crack at it and gave it a whole new coat of paint, I'm happier with this version, it's not perfect, but it won't ever be and it tells the story I want to tell so i just have to let it go this time. With the changes I have to do some supplementary art, but it's not a ton, a few days worth at most so I'll be plonking at that as well. That was mostly bad or neutral news so on a more positive front that secret project I commissioned for the release is almost completely done. I rendered a draft this weekend and while it pushed my PC to it's limit (Literally a 33 hour render) I'm pretty pleased with it, It needs some final tweaks and postwork, but when that's done I think it was well worth the effort, probably my favourite part of the update.
Now I want to get to some behind the scenes notes while I'm here. This update cycle has been longer than it should have been and I acknowledge that, so I've paused billing I think that's only fair, and the least I can do. I also want to sincerely apologise, this cycle, especially the past couple months I've been more absent here, and my Discord. I don't have any fun excuses or sob stories the simple truth is I tried to spin too many plates at once so to say and bluntly it was beyond my ability so plates started falling. Clumsy analogy aside that's completely my fuck up, and as a result some things have fallen by the wayside. I apologise for letting that happen. For right now I'm just going to focus on getting this update in your hands, that'll take care of my current largest plate. After that's out I'm going to being getting back into the swing of consistent Patron interaction with my weekly posts and sneak peeks as well as art streams. Again I apologise for my absence.
TLDR: Billing paused, sorry I've taken longer than expected, I'm working on getting back to the old Stew output.

I just got to this and must say, the stories and art you are putting out is worth the wait. Some VN/games that are of less quality in both art and story have many delays themselves. As far as I'm concerned this is better than most AAA games out and deserves the wait.

sorry something you tried really hard to work didn't work I'm sure it would have been epic but your work is amazing anyway. like peeps said your work is worth the wait just happy that your not folding. too many AVNs with promise burn out. absolutely love your storytelling

You do you. Software can be tweaked but hardware and creative drive are a different mutant species! We want it, but we REALLY want it right :D
