You raise relevant points, but she will enjoy that line in Deadpool/Wolverine without suffering through Blade.

1408 is literally the best choice on this list! People please vote for 1408, it's a horror masterpiece.

Several good movies in the poll. For instance, Misery (1990) is incredibly good. Kathy Bates won Best Actress Oscar for her stunning performance in Misery (1990). Donnie Darko (2001) is awesome and made Jake Gyllenhaal famous. In contrast, I fell asleep when I watched Blade (1998). Repetitive. Mindless. I did like the Wesley Snipes presence but the movie cheese is just too distracting. IMDb 7.1, Metacritic 47%, RT 58% -- Blade (1998) IMDb 7.8, Metacritic 75%, RT 91% -- Misery (1990) IMDb 8.0, Metacritic 71%, RT 87% -- Donnie Darko (2001) IMDb 7.8, Metacritic 82%, RT 98% -- Let the Right One In (2008)

Blade would help set up for when Evie gets to the Deadpool/Wolverine part of the MCU, but I also suspect she'd enjoy the plot structure in Signs as well.
