Smol Update 27
🕑 Added 2020-10-02 02:13:36 +0000 UTC- added elytra texture
- added leather armor texture
- added iron frame to stained glass
- added tudor frame plaster to double smooth quartz slab in any plains, forest, flower forest, birch forest, dark forest, taiga, and mountains biomes
- made the crimson/warped roots and vines and sprouts glow in the block properties file
I have been busy with real life job last month, so there's not a lot of new features added in this update.
The new iron framed stained glass and tudor blocks are in the "addon" pack, so if you already download the previous version, you only need to re-download the "addon" and "item" pack this time.
=================================
You can download the pack here (works with any 1.15/1.16 versions):
https://www.patreon.com/posts/update-36-53193316
Basic: all required essential vanilla textures, need to be loaded at the bottom
Addon: optional extra biome-specific textures that fits vanilla gameplay
Bonus: optional extra biome-specific textures that doesn't fit vanilla gameplay
Items: all item and armor textures
Models: optional extra custom models, works with any res versions
The texture resolution for "basic", "addon", and "bonus" pack need to match each other for pathtracing to work properly, but you can use whatever res you like for the "items" and "models" pack.
The extra grass in the "models" pack works best with SEUS PTGI HRR with "Smooth Lighting" option disabled.
Please check the included "features list" text file inside each extra pack to see detail descriptions of what they add, and how to remove unwanted features in the "models" pack.
*Don't try the 256x versions unless you have plenty of ram and high-end GPU
Make sure these settings are set correctly, or else the textures will get messed up:
"Quality Settings > Connected Textures" to Fancy
"Quality Settings > Natural Textures" to Off
"Detail Settings > Alternate Blocks" to On
"Performance Settings > Smart Animations" to On
Optionally could download the block properties file included in the download link and use it to overwrite the same file inside SEUS PTGI shaderpack. The file adds several fixes, and makes ore crystals glow if you enable "glowing redstone block" or makes the bonus pack scifi panels glow if you enable "glowing emerald block" in the shader options.

Feel free to leave some feedbacks for the existing textures, or suggestions for new block textures!

Hello, I just got this texture pack and looks awesome, but I noticed I can't use the 256x alongside connected textures, the resource pack crashes and loads minecraft default. I don't have this issue with the 128x version. I'm using minecraft 1.16.3 and the latest version of optifine for it HD_UG_3
Giuseppe Leotta
Ma dove la scarico la texturepack ?
Chompski
All good! Actually got it to work by messing with some java arguments to allow more ram for my install
patrix
Ye unfortunately 16gb ram + 8gb vram might just fall short to run my pack, try using the 128x basic pack only. If you still can't run it then I guess only the 32x version is left, or you would have to try another resourcepack, sorry.
Chompski
Thanks for the reply! I have tested it on all 1.16 versions earlier today. I get the same error when using optifine. Without optifine it runs perfectly. 16GB ram/ RX5700 8GB for reference
patrix
The "made for a newer version of minecraft" warning can be ignored, it should still work if you're on any 1.15/1.16 versions, the reason you can't get my pack to work is probably due to something else, probably that you don't have enough ram/vram to run.
Chompski
Hi Folks, can't seem to get this working. I've tried re-downloading and re-extracting to be safe but I keep getting load errors. I'm on 1.16.1 using optifine for my main server. States "made for a newer version of Minecraft" Any known issues/fixes?
Chris
I can't figure out the tudor blocks EDIT: I changed to flower forest biome and it now works. Previously I was in Birch forest and it didn't work

"Options > Video Settings > Details > Trees" set to Fancy or Smart

Hi there! is there a way to remove the borders on the stained glass? :)
Adiuva
Oh perfect, that is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a bunch!
Mast3rBlast3r01
My trees have blocky leaves with the texture printed on them. How do I fix this?
patrix
If you don't like the added extra grass on top of grass blocks, just follow the instruction inside the "features list" text file inside the models pack to remove them, or just don't use the model pack at all
Adiuva
Everything looks fantastic! One question though, is there a way to tone down the grass growth on grass blocks? It sort of makes everything nearby look overgrown.
Austen McFadden
Okay cool! thanks for the replies! You're doing awesome work! Have a great night!
patrix
You can check the "features list" text file included in each pack to see what the pack adds
patrix
Nah they don't conflict with each other, I said the bonus pack doesn't fit because the extra textures in that pack changes how the block looks way too much comparing to vanilla, so if you're using the bonus pack on existing maps/builds they might look weird
Austen McFadden
Does the Addon and Bonus conflict because they either fit with vanilla look or do not fit, so therefore I should not include both of them?
patrix
You need the basic pack at least, the other packs are optional and can be loaded on top
Austen McFadden
Sorry, I'm new to modding and a little confused. Do I need to download each pack? the "Basic", "Addon", "bonus" etc. etc.? Or do I just pick one?
patrix
How much ram do you have? Because minecraft might not be using vram to the fullest, and if you don't have enough ram then that's probably what cause the crash
patrix
That's probably because most hd packs aren't complete, while mine is complete and on top of that using thousands of extra textures. And it's just how minecraft handles such things so nothing I could do
Tarek Al Helfi
This seems to be a memory leak specific to the texture pack as ive tried other texture packs and they work totally fine.
Tarek Al Helfi
The 256x pack seems to not even use my VRAM. It just goes straight to my RAM, overloads it, and then crashes my game. I have 32gigs of VRAM with a titan x pascal and a i7 7770k so it should be able to load this. I set a ram limitation and it does the same thing.
Christopher Haugen
I feel like this is a really dumb question but I have the 128 version running but for some reason it only appears that the basic blocks are being textured. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong. Please help :D
patrix
You don't have enough total ram and vram to use the 256x pack
Wolfgang Koeppner-Bures
I can't load the "basic x256" file. I add it to the resource packs, MC reloads and then just writes an error in the top right corner "ressource failed to load". I have 16 GB RAM, 8 GB VRAM and don't see any reason :-(
Wolfgang Koeppner-Bures
Where can I find this block.properties file to overwrite?
patrix
Yes

Can add-on and bonus be used in conjunction?

i Absolutely love your resource pack, tho i can use seus because it even kills my pc, if i could give suggestions, would be mods or the items like the seeds. keep up the good work, you are amazing :D

What is the block Properties folder for?
Jack Thomas
Can you recommend any other shaders besides SEUS PTGI as it currently doesn't work in the nether?
patrix
I'm not sure either because from user feedback the ram usage varies A LOT, from 18gb to 36gb. You could try not allocating that much ram to minecraft in the launcher settings tho, because since 1.13 the game automatically uses extra memory for storing textures, so you only need around 2~3gb of ram allocated.
patrix
Not anytime soon
patrix
Ye currently the extra grass only works well with SEUS PTGI HRR version with smooth lighting disabled, in the other ptgi versions they're covered in dark shadows and can't be fixed
patrix
No you don't, you can download the files individually

Do you plan to work on mob skins as well?
Tonarion
I have an issue and I can't figure out how to fix it. The extra grass in the models addon is basically always dark (shaded) as if it is not being rendered properly, even in direct sunlight.

i need mediafirepremium? really?

Currently having a issue even using the 256 pack, Ill try the other one and see it it continues but I get open GL errors and crashing if I try to use the 256 basic. Edit: other set works fantastically.
patrix
Beds and chests and any block entity with render limits are bugged in 1.16 on optifine/shader's end, they appear to be incorrectly shaded and I can't do anything about that. As for sparse leaves, that's how I personally prefer it. You can copy/paste the original block models from the old versions back if you want.

Hello just confirming as I have not installed mods or texture/resource packs. A: Does this work with Windows 10 version? B: To install I just extract the 4 zip folders into my resource packs located at: C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\resource_packs correct? Lastly, I think this requires the SEUS shaders thing, but does it require any others specifically?
Bevv
It's because this pack is much bigger and has features those 1k packs don't. Don't worry about it, 128x looks just like the screenshots (I think patrix said he runs his own packs at 128x).
Thorsten Niemann
I want to run the 256x version, but my MC crashed, what can i do ? other packs with over 1k res I can run smoothly. Can some1 help ?
RaiKaiser
to those that are asking, the addons or extra packs are just like Resource packs, just put them in your resource pack folder. Or you can combine them into one file by overwriting the basic files' set with the addon's files
LonlyGamerX
Never used addons to a texturepack before, how do i add them?
Julius Zulauf
but isn´t the pack complete becaus i have a few thinks in vanilla textures
patrix
the basic pack need to be at the bottom, everything else can go whichever order you like
Julius Zulauf
what is the addon order?
RaiKaiser
Thank you so much! Will update mine later 🌝

Thanks 😀 I’ll download and try in the morning!
