ALRadeck

sadly, he's buttless.

ALRadeck

I kinda figure it's like having a bag on your head where you can't see anything but the bag is just *lack* of a head, lol

Drakkenfyre

In the novel, which is written in first-person from Neri's perspective, the extreme pain is followed by a very odd sensation as her head falls to the ground after losing vision/hearing. Internally she's still conscious and after some initial confusion is aware of the fact that her head is gone. The whole experience is extremely disorienting and then painful again as she regenerates. Her regeneration hurts as new bone, muscle, and flesh regrow with the worse the injury/damage is the more it hurts healing back.

Taz

Gauzier has arrived at the finding out part of this adventure

Mattis. Probably.

Some times you just need to grow a new head to get a better perspective of your current situation.

Razor_Wolf

No brain to feel pain?

Voligne

Neri really is one to keep a cool head.

Latiaslovar

Called it! Headless chicken moment.

Jeffrey Bower

Counterargument: Sblorp She'll be okay, she's got a good neck on her shoulders! Interesting to see the hellfire around her neck but no signs of regeneration yet. *ponders silently*

Kibbles

Rest of the series is just Neri without a head going on hijinks, or it growing back hilariously small

D

What do you think the experience of getting your head severed and then regrown feels like? Besides the pain, does "she" stop existing for a moment? Is it like going to sleep? How do the senses reconnect?
