Chapter 8
It wasn't until Robyn was thrown onto a couch did she come to her senses. She shielded her eyes from the bright white and gold interior. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling. There were other tables around, but the room was mostly empty and the only occupants were those that surrounded her and Cordelius. At the far side of the room, a bartender was in the middle of wiping down the counter. In addition to the jazz music being played by magical, self-performing instruments, it sounded like someone was being beat up in another room. Was this… a club?
Directly across from them was a fat half-orc, who took up the entire other couch and was dressed in a pin-stripe gray suit. His second chin was a slab of green dough ready to be thrown into an oven. He had a cigar pinched between two thick fingers adorned with large, gem-studded rings.
Flanking the plump half-orc were a dozen other half-orcs, all glaring ahead. Robyn only recognized Vred. Another in a white suit, whose name she learned from Cordelius was Stitz, ignited his finger to light his boss' cigar.
"W-Where are we?" Robyn asked.
"Sh! We're about to be six feet under if you don't shut your trap!" Cordelius whispered, face caked in sweat and voice trembling.
The largest half-orc in the room muttered something almost inaudibly to the one in white.
"Welcome to Club Reguard. Don Gordia wants to know where's his fucking money," Stitz relayed.
Robyn sat straight up. The blood in her veins went ice cold. They were the Twinned-Axe fucking mafia, the ones Cordelius owed money to. No wonder Sylvia was so reluctant about canceling the meeting.

"I-I have it! I swear on my grandma's grave. The kleins you gave me were an investment, you see. We were in the middle of making good on your generous charity before your men interrupted—"
Don Gordia whispered to Stitz again.
"Charity implies a no return on investment," Stitz continued speaking on behalf of the don. "The money we loaned you wasn't charity. You were supposed to meet us this morning. Since you didn't show up, we came looking for you. And your pockets are looking a little light. Fortunately for you, Don Gordia is a merciful man. If you can't pay the first installment today, we have mana-sucking leeches that can help you make some quick cash."
Robyn and Cordelius gulped hard.
Mana-sucking leeches drained someone's mana right out of them and stored it in a harvestable sack. The process was extremely painful. They were also very illegal.
"Hey, uh… If Cordy's the one who owes you money, then I don't really need to be here… right?" Robyn asked timidly.
The crime boss frantically beckoned to Stitz with his free hand.
"Don Gordia asks if you want anything to drink from the bar?" Stitz asked.
"Eh? Erm… Y-You got some nice frothy beer?" Robyn said the first thing that crossed her mind.
"I'll take a Morganta Rum!" Cordelius exclaimed, but the glares from Stitz and Don Gordia shut him up.
A few moments later, the bartender came by with a giant stein of beer. Foam and froth dribbled down the side of it onto the expensive granite table. Robyn wasn't sure why they offered her a drink, but she could never turn down good beer. The refreshingly cold liquid slid down her throat like the first morning gulp of water.
"You must be wondering why you're here," Stitz began in his don's stead again. "Don Gordia first wishes to express his sincerest apology if we scared you. We weren't lying when we said no harm will come to you, Robyn Clemrose. However, we are very aware of Cordelius' spending habits and brought you along to cut a deal."
"Deal?" Robyn and Cordelius echoed curiously.
Vred shooed the goons into the back room until only himself, Don Gordia, Stitz, and the bartender coming back with another full glass of beer remained.
"The truth is, Don Gordia is a fan of yours," Stitz said.
"Well, why didn't you say so! Oh, Don. You may be half orc, but whatever your other half is has good tastes! Lemme get you an autograph—" Cordelius reached for a notepad sitting on the table until a knife plunged into it, right between his index and middle fingers.
"Not. You." The white-suited, half-orc growled.
"Wait, then me?!" Robyn gaped.
Don Gordia squirming like a little girl and his cheeks turning red answered her. That must mean he watched the pornos she filmed— Wait. A fan of when she was a dude, or currently as a chick?
"We're willing to postpone Cordelius' first payment and pay you for your services, Miss Robyn. This is a very hospitable offer. Don Gordia is the one taking the hit on it. Consider this deal a… favor to the mob," Stitz explained.
"W-What exactly do you mean by my services?" Robyn asked, gulping hard and wondering if Don Gordia wanted to sleep with her.

"We would like to create a statue of you naked for use in Don Gordia's club," Stitz said.
"That's it? What if I refuse?" Robyn asked for curiosity's sake.
All three half-orcs shot a look at Cordelius.
"Then we mana-drain the imp first," Don Gordia finally spoke at last in a slow, menacing drawl, "cut him into pieces once he's drained up like a husk, and feed him to the demon hounds."
Cordelius turned to her pleadingly. "Robyn, buddy! Remember when I picked you to be the main actor for the studio?"
"As much as I'd like to see Cordy's comeuppance, he's my employer. I'll take the job. I get to earn some kleins while I'm at it, too." Robyn got up intending to shake the don's hands, but everyone gawked at the wet and white stain on the couch where she was just sitting. "Uh… I-I was in the middle of a porno shoot, alright?"
The favor to the mob was a simple one. All Robyn had to do was stand still. Meanwhile, a few sculptors under Don Gordia's employ chipped away at a marble block with magic. What she didn't anticipate was for this to be so embarrassing. The light see-through shawl wrapped around her shoulders and draped down her lithe, elven body. She should have been used to being watched, especially as someone working in the porno industry. However, the sculptors, Don Gordia, and Vred stared so hard, she couldn't help but feel… strange.

If someone like Vred or Don Gordia seized the chance to take advantage of her, there would be nothing she could do. The thought of that somehow thrilled her.

"Are you doing alright?" Vred asked suddenly.
"Yeah…" Robyn glanced over her shoulder and answered him while panting heavily.
The sound of leather squeaked and stretched to their limits. Something hard poked at Robyn's rear cheeks. Vred was frozen solid in place, and she realized right away that it was his hard on.
Don Gordia looked peeved and made shooing motions at Vred. Maybe he was too embarrassed to show an erection in front of his boss.

The sculptors shrugged, and although the don probably preferred to ogle Robyn without one of his men in the way, he eventually waved his hand. Vred breathed a sigh of relief, which meant that gesture was a good thing for his life. Though… not so much for his throbbing erection.

"It just happens sometimes…" Vred muttered.

Don Gordia clapped his jeweled hands twice, and Stitz returned to the floor with Cordelius in tow. The half-orc mafiosos whispered something to each other that drew a breath of relief from the imp.
"The don is happy with the statue and says it will be a fine addition to Club Reguard as the centerpiece. Your payment, Miss Robyn. 2,000 kleins and lifetime VIP membership to Reguard." Stitz slid across the table a stack of paper notes and a gold card with the name of the club on it.
Robyn's jaw dropped. "Two grand in a lump sum and lavish treatment at one of the most popular clubs in Morganta City? Holy shit. Cordy, you should owe money to the mob more often!"
"Yeah, yeah. Laugh it up, pal." Cordelius rolled his eyes.
Everyone froze to the sound of a scuffle outside of the club. Don Gordia motioned Stitz to go check it out. He drew a billy club and casted protective magic over himself, but when he got to the door, it swung open and knocked him out.
"Robyn! I'm here to save you!" Sienna stormed in, holding a bouncer by the throat and another unconscious by the scruff of his neck.
"I'm also here!" Twinkle brandished a toothpick as her weapon.
"You guys are here to save me, too, right?" Cordelius pointed to himself.
The worried draph and pixie skidded to a halt. They stared blankly at the statue.
"They turned Robyn into a statue!" Twinkle cried in horror.
"I'm right fucking here!" Robyn shouted.
After explaining the situation, Don Gordia looked the other way to Sienna and Twinkle's siege of Club Reguard. Everyone narrowly avoided a bloodbath, and Robyn learned today that Sienna was, in fact, able to toss half-orcs around like ragdolls.
"Wow. It looks just like you. There's even some sweat trails along your inner thighs to show how wet you were, ya pervert. Your nipples are hard, too!" Sienna doubled over from laughter in front of the statue.
"Quit staring so hard! I was sweating from, uh… standing still! And… and, obviously the nipples are hard. It's a statue!" Robyn complained.
"I'm not sure about you folks, but I've had just enough of this place— great place though, Don Gordia! Love what you did with the interior. I'll have your money ready next month for sure. Count on my tail!" Cordelius tried to shake hands with the half-orc but was given the cold shoulder.
When Vred got back with a new change of pants, Don Gordia ordered that he escort the members of Adventurers Gone Wild back to the studio. Sienna, Twinkle, and Cordelius entered the studio first, but Robyn lingered outside.
"Hey, Vred… Uh… Sorry about earlier. I don't know what came over me," Robyn said, rubbing the back of her head.
"D-Don't mention it. Actually, before I leave…" Vred cleared his throat and brought out a vidcrystal case of one of her pornos. "I was wondering if I can get your autograph?"
"So, you were a fan after all! Sure thing. As long as you don't get all weird on me like the last fan I met." She gladly signed her name across the box cover.
The half-orc looked at the signature like it was a gift from god. It made Robyn feel good to be adored.
"Thank you! I hope you continue to make more!" Vred exclaimed.
