The main reason it was so buggy was my old systems and new systems was conflicting a lot. When I released first version, I wasn't sure about what I needed, lot's of thing were unclear to me about how am I going to proceed.
When I started to work on latest version(0.17), I noticed that lot's of my old systems was not enough to continue. I was pretty busy last month so implementing new systems while adding new content was pretty tough, so I needed to go back and change things since the beginning of the game but I didn't want to delay this release too much and that's why it was so buggy and missing lot of things.
Those systems are:
- Cutscene
- Save/load
- Object depth
- Inventory
- Quests
- Battle
Currently they are complete(except battle system), but not fully tested. I'll probably release a new version after I import cutscenes into new system. Hopefully we'll release version 0.2 at the beginning of the next month after that.
Aside from remaking old systems, I also improved other things which will hopefully make development smoother in the future.
By the way, I'm also planing to make first rape scene optional. There are two reasons for this, first is feedback. Second one is, with old system, adding optional scenarios was really tough for me, but after I successfully made a new system for scene with Dianna, it seems possible now. I want to give freedom to player as much as I can.
I have several ideas about how am I going to proceed with battle system which I'll write about some other time probably.
