Devlog #38 - Upcoming Dekamara Content + Patreon Changes
🕑 Added 2022-09-19 11:27:17 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
Since the release we've been continuing development, not just Dekamara but Kalyzmyr as well. For Dekamara, I’ve been working on bug fixes and new levels while ShySeel is working on new characters.
I’m currently adding new maps. Maps won’t be as big as the previous version mostly, and the game will gradually introduce new mechanics and puzzles with each new level and start mixing those to create complex levels.
In the meantime, ShySeel has been working on the upcoming characters:
This is our mushroom girl, she’s going to replace all the mushrooms in the game. It’s functionality won’t change from the previous mushroom object, but she’ll be coming with a unique interaction.
Mage is another new character that’s going to be in our new version. Mage is going to solve the ‘softlocking the game by dropping girls off the edge’ issue.
We have more progress then what I shared here but you'll be seeing the rest when it's released. As for what else we've been doing this month; we just participated in a local event named GIST, it’s an expo focused on indie games. Since I applied like 6 months ago, I applied with Kingdom Lost so we but if I applied later, I would apply with Kalyzmyr. Anyway, we had a chance to show both Kalyzmyr and Oh Sheep! alongside the Kingdom Lost and I’m pretty happy with that. I had some great feedback for Kalyzmyr and the event was extremely valuable in that aspect. We also met some great people, which is the main benefit of these events in my opinion.
As for changes we are making to our Patreon page; from now on, our tier 1 Patreons will be getting access to the latest major update of Dekamara 1 month early before it’s available to the public. Tier 2 will be getting free access to Kalyzmyr both on Itch and Steam, your Steam keys will be delivered by email so be sure to check it! You might also get keys if you are an old Patreon as a gesture of our appreciation for your past support.
The unstable development of Kingdom Lost was mostly caused by our personal lives so I can’t really go into that topic. I was always surprised with the amount of support we got even though we couldn’t offer a smooth development process in the past. With Dekamara, we aim to change this and hopefully we’ll be making a new post with a release soon! Take care!

ShySeel is working on one of last two remaining Witch animations and I'm playtesting the stages I've made, so we are almost there!
