Weekly Progress 28-02-2021
🕑 Added 2021-02-28 17:49:38 +0000 UTCHello fellow Drynnorians! Since last week, I noticed that the bug that causes riposte to hit multiple times if the last combatant died by riposte skill, it’ll crash since the instance it’s trying to reach doesn’t exist anymore. I took precautions for that before, but since I made several changes in combat last update, I forgot to cover the issue this time.
I also added a new system for wood cutting and stone mining. I plan to make use of this system in the upcoming update and it was already something I had in my mind. I always enjoy adding new systems, since I don’t plan on working on bigger systems this update, I thought it’s a great addition, along with some fine tuning of already existing systems.
Yesterday Bannon Rudis played KL in his stream a bit, giving us extremely useful feedback. Especially when it comes to combat UI, it’s not readable/understandable and it doesn’t even stand out. Which is something I was already aware of, but hearing it from other people's perspective really helps a lot, especially since he gave me detailed advice lots of ideas popped into my mind. I talked with ShySeel and we decided to visualize it in a different way. One other thing I decided to change is how harvesting works, I made it similar to wood cutting and ore mining so you can go wild! You can still interact with them like before if you prefer so.
Hey there, it's Shyseel. It's been a busy week but fortunately I'm done with Diana’s sprite! I’m hoping to add Gwun, Vaeh and Ryle before the update. Right now I’ll focus on the tents and renew the inside and outside. I’m hoping to get everything done before the update though i’m on a trip right now and working has been slower for me. I have a lot to do and i’m not working stable hours so I’ll do my best to keep up with the deadline. Thank you for understanding!
