They do form lasting relationships but mating can also be used for bonding among hunting groups and between tribes, it shows a high degree of mutual appreciation. She has this latter towards him and she is being very honest about it but hopes that the feeling is mutual. Declining doesn't necessarily mean rejection though.
Is the mating act a casual token of appreciation and not a couple-only activity for the hesiarr, or is she just a bit too honest ?
