2023 Story Update Plan
🕑 Added 2023-04-27 22:24:53 +0000 UTCHello everyone,
The next update poll (https://www.patreon.com/posts/next-update-poll-81848579) was very close (43 - 42) but I'm going to call it now and announce the Story Update as the winner!
Here's the plan for the story update:
- Change opening cutscenes to explain that there is an ongoing contest to create a goddess by obtaining rare metals present in 7 different medals at the contest hall (obtained from winning each of the contests), and channeling them together in a machine powerful enough to do so.
- Perhaps this will be a news broadcast on the TV or an article she read online
- Change opening cutscenes to have a player dialogue option regarding her becoming a goddess (which will set a variable of whether he supports the choice, is against it, or is skeptical)
- In this opening cutscene allude to the GF not knowing her potential; have potential be obscured until characters visit Dr. Chance's where it's revealed to them for free in a 'first time visit' cutscene.
- Alter existing muscle scenes to reference the ongoing goddess contest (especially in the later levels where she alludes to searching for a way to become greater)
- Alter the high level muscle quick talks accordingly
- Add at least one player dialogue scene after all 7 medals have been collected with another dialogue choice affirming the player's attitude towards her becoming a goddess
- Implement 'Story Progress' quick talks where the GF discusses her progress towards collecting all of the medals, and gives some simple hints towards what to do next based on what medals are acquired and her current stats.
- Create + Implement 'Champion' characters for each of the 7 contests
- (Holochess already has one, ideally expand upon her descriptions and dialogues a little)
- Change existing NPC dialogues to reference the ongoing goddess contest, and some of the champions.
- Create Medal items for each of the 7 contests
- Change the Goddess Chamber to require 1 of each of these medals to power up instead of consuming items
- Take all of the coding for the Goddess Chamber 'item burning' and repurpose it into a new item (The Recycler?) that can break down items and empower characters with its energy.
- Add 'Recycler' plans into the game, and ability to create the 'Recycler'
- Touch up the endings, and alter them to better reflect the new story, and reference the player's attitudes towards her becoming a goddess, and the player's attitude towards her height growth (assuming that has been established via the height progress dialogue cutscenes)
- Implement an OPTIONAL time limit where after X days another woman collects all the medals and becomes a goddess via her own goddess chamber, ending the game with a relatively brief text scene explaining this.
- Add a new piece of Oriander art
Hope this plan sounds good to everyone, and as always feedback is appreciated. Thanks again for your continued support - hope you enjoy everything to come!
- Magnus
