Update, and 5.0 'Proposal'
🕑 Added 2017-09-21 01:50:41 +0000 UTC Hey everyone.So where's the beauty update? Great question! I do have quite a lot of it written (descriptions, dialogues, some items - all good to go! as is a lot of the bodybuilding competition)
But the truth is, a LOT of my time has been spent just writing up ideas for the full framework of the game.
And I have to say, I'm actually very glad that the AI poll went the way it did. I have a new vision for 5.0 - one that essentially reworks the game again.
Implementing all of these changes would likely take a few months, though I would be very active in frequently updating and releasing multiple test-builds along the way.
But I don't want to jump into that course of action just yet without everyone being on board. I'm attaching to this a nearly 4,000 word long 'proposal' detailing all of the changes I have in mind.
Tomorrow I will put up a poll asking if you'd like me to
1.) Skip the beauty update as it is and shift direction entirely to 5.0 (all currently created content for Beauty will be implemented into 5.0)
2.) Finish + Release the Beauty Update as-is, then shift full direction to 5.0
3.) Finish + Release Beauty Update as-is, and DON'T shift full direction to 5.0 (we'll do more polls deciding where to take it from there)
Regardless, in the meantime, please do at least take a quick glance at the document. Share your feedback, and let me know what your thoughts are!

Thanks! I've also been thinking of how I'll roll it out to Patrons. I'll likely end up 'recreating' the game in Twine again, starting off by implementing the attributes and XP system, then releasing that build to Patrons (not a public release); then I'll probably put in the skills; then the genetics/character creation; then start adding in items and the old (plus new) descriptions
I'm impressed with the amount of planning you've put into this. It's a really ambitious next step!
