Life Sim End of March Update
🕑 Added 2020-03-30 21:35:37 +0000 UTCHello,
I hope you are in good health. Here’s the latest news regarding FMG Life Sim.
First, the 2020 Dialogue Update Beta is now available to all $10+ Patrons. You can check it out here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/life-sim-2020-35414394
The next two updates will be the Workouts update and the Beach update. On the last priorities poll, a new beach location won, followed by updated activity descriptions in second place. While the beach update is more popular, I believe the lack of varied descriptions is a larger weakness in the game right now, so I’m going to make that update first. And since this is an FMG Game, I think it’s most important for there to be a lot of variation in the activity you’ll likely be performing the most - workouts.
Here’s the current tentative outline for each update.
Workouts Update:
- Adds at least 8,000 words of new descriptions among the various activities (primarily the workouts)
-Upon choosing Weight Training or Calisthenics, characters will undergo 2-3 of the following workouts:
- Weights: Bicep Curls, Overhead Triceps Extensions, Shoulder Press, Bench Press, Squat, Dead Lift, Calf Raises, Kettlebell Swings, Abs.
- Calisthenics: Push Ups, Leg Raises, Plank, Wall Sit, Dips, Hip Abductions, Squats, Burpees
- Advanced Calisthenics (new activity that requires cheap equipment or a gym): Pull Ups, Chin Ups, Upside-Down Sit Ups, Hanging Leg Raises, Push Up Bars, Dip Bars
- For the sake of variety, the workouts will be chosen at random, as opposed to following a standard weight lifting routine. All of the exercises will play out before being chosen again, (plucked from an array that’s replenished when empty specifically).
- Current plan is for each exercise to have a few different ‘quick descriptions’ depending on muscle level and other factors.
- New Jog activity between Walk and Run in intensity/exp.
- Quick descriptions for the workouts when characters are acting separately.
- Expanded and revamped running/walking descriptions.
- Adds the ability for the player to coach the girlfriend during workouts, boosting the experience she gains.
- Rebalance the strength scaling for how much each character lifts at each level, and muscle sizes at each level.
- Rebalance the height stat’s scaling.
- Change the order of GF art/descriptions to make more sense.
- Implement an image of some kind to all of the muscle scenes (may reuse GF pics).
Beach Update:
- Adds Beach Location with the following features...
- Volleyball Activity
- Endurance centered workout activity. Play 1v1 against your girlfriend, or play 2v2 against strangers (depending on time of day)
- Sunbathing Activity
- Gives a quick description of the characters’ bodies, and after enough uses adds a ‘tanned’ perk that increases beauty. (art wont reflect their tans)
- Swimming Activity
- Endurance centered workout activity.
- Diving Activity
- Another endurance centered activity. This one requires equipment, and with high enough stats, characters can find rare items.
- Search Activity
- Search the beach for treasure. Can be augmented with the new metal detector.
- Walk/Jog/Run
- Same as normal, but with different scenery and random events.
- Equipment and Snack Stores
- Equipment store sells diving equipment and a metal detector. Snack shack sells stamina replenishing foods that also give other buffs (like attribute XP).

Please share any feedback you have on these outlines.
Ideally I will finish and release both of these in April. I’ve set goals like this many times before and failed before, so please don’t take it as a guarantee.
Since the first pledge of these was already processed, my plan is to create a pledge tomorrow night at around 11 PM EST for the second one. Consider this a 24 hour notice if you need to change your pledge in any way. You’ll be able to access rewards for both updates in your tier regardless of which pledge you process, so long as you’re a current Patron when they’re posted.
Thanks for your support everyone, and stay safe!

True, it could cost more stamina and give more strength XP or something along those lines

Isn't running on the beach suppose to be a better workout because you waste more energy running on sand? That could be a fun little detail.

A straight up 'have sex' activity is not planned currently. But more seductive posing and muscle worship is on my radar.

So this has probably been asked before and likely answered many times, but I feel it is worth asking just to be sure. Will there ever be anything approaching sexual encounters in this game?
