i applied for a low level administrative city gov job and they made me do a polygraph even though i knew it was bs. and i did not get the job. the poygraph lady was very rude and took herself way too seriously.

Don't the CIA and FBI kind of hate each other? Seems like the FBI just wants to make the CIA look like terrifying people who will arrest you for sucking at a job interview you weren't even qualified for in the first place. Either that, or the real propaganda is actually meant to be making you afraid of the CIA so you won't betray America, like any reasonable evil country would do.

american student (of color) currently studying abroad in china right now: 1. yeah it can be that sunny in china (and even shanghai). they're doing much better on pollution than 10 years ago. 2. shanghai sexpat whities are the bane of my existence (this guy in the video pretends like he speaks mandarin/putonghua but he still mostly hangs out with white foreigners and people in my home university's chinese 1 class speak better than him...). 3. i am currently not being scouted by any faction of the chinese government. i wish! maybe it's because i'm in stem. 4. not every foreigner gets offered a job... i wish me being an exotic dark skinned person was enough to do odd jobs and not just be marveled at. (this might just be a new thing though) 5. god i wish i could be this praised for being stupid
