I used to live right next to Fulton center. used to use that station every day. crime wasnt an issue. not even sure how it can be called a mall. its a subway station with like three shops in it. if anyone wants to go shopping theyll just go 1 block over to the world trade center.

NGL I’m in VA and I’m pretty sure if you steal anything over 500 it’s felonious with possibly jail time or probation. I think that definitely holds some weight. Most “undies” and other things to survive usually cost under 500$ ? I think it’s the fact that New York has a lot of “mom and pop” type of stores that probably can’t take a few thousand dollars in losses every couple days on top of that people don’t have money to spend in general:/ I don’t wanna say it’s because of one group because let’s be honest everyone steals 🕺 or has stolen once in there life but let’s not target your local community stores. how can a community grow if it’s the community that’s breaks itself down😭 much love guys! So wait, one mall has a dedicated subway station just for the mall that drops you off right at the mall and next to a bunch of tourist attractions, the other mall's nearest subway station is a few blocks away in the middle of downtown. But we think the reason the one in the better location with the dedicated subway station is doing better is because the fascist troopers have different badges at that one?

I'm willing to bet that the mall isn't breaking their lease because of crime. I guarantee there's some sort of finance loophole that they're exploiting by pulling out which makes them more money, and they're just blaming it on crime.

You shouldn’t feel guilty for wanting to live a comfortable life, you didn’t create the capitalist system and finding success within it doesn’t mean you can’t advocate to radically change/dismantle it. You can join local groups in your community who want to transition away from capitalism. You can learn about leftist theory and share it with others, attend public demonstrations, pester lawmakers on all levels of government. You can accomplish all of these things as a real estate agent, and you can even use your expertise and connections in that field to push for housing reform for example. You aren’t a hypocrite for wanting a roof over your head and food on your table. Capitalism makes all of the good things in your life come at the expense of others less fortunate than you. You should absolutely volunteer, not because you expect karma in return, but because it tips the scales towards equity. Never forget that it was a cruel and unjust system that left those people without a home in the first place. You can be part of the movement to replace it. I hope this helps you let go of any lingering guilt. You can do great things. I believe in you!

Is it bad that I’m getting my certification to become a real estate agent? Like, I know I’m gonna be looked down upon for it, but I plan to volunteer at the closest homeless shelter to counteract the “negative karma” for lack of better words. Tbh I would rather just work in a cafe, but that doesn’t pay the bills for a single person. I would rather have free housing than be a real estate agent.

I hate that these people refuse to understand how the legal system works. The "criminals" they're "setting free" are people who are awaiting their trials. They do this to prevent jail overcrowding, which is really bad rn because more and more people can't afford bail.
