I mentioned it on your reaction when Kafka saw the samurai, but that moment marked what’s gonna be nonstop craziness in the show, all the level ups in this part of the story is so hype as well

I thought the people at the wedding were Kafka's relatives. The father of the bride was just like Kafka and when he bit his own arm to draw blood and tried to use it to lure the kaiju away from his daughter I thought that's exactly what Kafka would have done in the situation, if he didn't have kaiju no.8. I haven't enjoyed season 2 anywhere near as much as season 1. I can take or leave the action and I miss the comedy of season 1. Season 1 was genuinely hilarious. I think season 2 hasn't made me laugh yet, and it's only tried to a couple of times. I also miss the original characters being together and interacting with each other. Season 2 has had no real character interaction going on, no relationships to grab onto. I don't think I care about many of the characters anymore. I do think I will like this season more when I can watch the whole thing in one run so I'm looking forward to that. Honestly though, season 2 feels like a filler season that's just setting up season 3 as the main event, if there is going to be a season 3. This has been my most disappointing anime of the season.
