He didn't call him Kaiju #8 when he praised himmm

Best episode of the season so far, Isao is the best!!

Milosz Skowronski

Maybe he can't do it for that long? I'm not sure. Narumi was also blazing through the city but he seemed to have ran out of juice towards the end. Might be like a trade-off between short-term explosive power, and long-term sustained power.

Isao is passing the torch to the young ones, and Kaiju no.9 is serving as the ultimate rite of passage. What an incredible episode. Had me on the edge of my seat throughout. That cliffhanger literally took a toll on my body - I instinctively threw my hands up and hit the edge of my desk really hard XD That was yesterday and it still hurts a bit. I do love how this series takes itself seriously, but it doesn't come across as tacky or pompous. Every bit of seriousness is 100% warranted because the stakes are so high and the writing is so good, that you get invested really hard. Reminds me a lot of 86 in that regard.

When I watched this episode on my personal time I knew it would hit hard for anyone. No.9 played everyone thinking it was going for No.8 or did Narumi figured it now to the end what the real goal was. How would Kikoro respond next episode.

This episode was painful 😢

This show even cliffhangs us with the opening haha, not just to end an episode
