its mostly related to npcs/events, so for example some town npcs might just be at their work location for some time each day(location can still be used/maybe replaced by other npcs), and during other times they are at their home/beach etc. where some events could occur. Or stuff like fishing/hunting has different results based on the time. Timezones just mean there are fixed timezones, for example morning, where during that zone you know nothing time based can change

I'm not sure I understand the options. Tell me if I'm mistaken: option 1 is what we currently have where everything is the same and all NPCs are always awake. option 2 is what we have for the brothel and farm, you can only send followers there during the morning but every day is the same. Option 3 is the most confusing one. Is it completely random, any character can be anywhere at any time? Is it flexible, events and your actions can change the location of a character, a bit like the new intro of Castalia and Alia where they change location at the start of the game?

those polls are mostly just to get the general opinion on those things, i wouldnt just blindly pick the highest ones if i don't think it works. Also gives a reaon to think more about things i would have easily dismissed, like i initially thought the currently highest one in the movement poll was by far the worst one, and almost didnt put it as an option. But now that i thought more about how that could work, it kinda makes more sense.
