Soo…I wish I could write this with good news to share but unfortunately it hasn’t been that great on my end lately.
In my last update I mentioned I had gotten laid off, and I goofed off for a little bit getting art done and healing myself, been doing interviews and things were looking up!
I landed a position at a new place, I wasn’t thrilled with it or the pay but I was getting antsy and wanted to go back to work. It wasn’t a first choice but wanted to give it an honest chance because hey! You never know right?
I. Hated. It. I stuck it out for about a month before admitting it wasn’t going to work out and i amicably resigned. I wasn’t using my skills, the job + commute was taking up over 12 hours of my day, and I was more or less squirreled away in a corner and I’m not about being treated like that especially when I’m dedicating more than half of my waking hours to something that’s not even paying me a fair salary.
So…back to the drawing board. And it’s during the winter months so not the best time to get hired in a career position. So that said! While I’m plugging along with the job search I’ve been getting back to streams and diligently working on getting a comm or two done a day.
I’m a little nervous since a lot of my devices are starting to fail. Phone can’t take pictures anymore, tablet pen had to be repaired, laptop doesn’t work/I do not currently own a computer etc. I’m allocating resources best I can but the next month or so is going to be difficult for the holidays.
That said…I’ve been sort of withdrawing from a lot of social space or interaction simply because I don’t have the bandwidth and I can’t give people more than what I’m able, physically or emotionally. So until I find a solution I’m just keeping to myself and trying to get things done.
