New cloth system
🕑 Added 2020-11-16 00:51:01 +0000 UTCComeCloser is not exactly about clothes, but it is such a pleasure to take them off... Do you like what you see? Touching is even better.
tldr: We had to create our own cloth system. Now it's done, we are back on schedule.
We are late, we are sorry. The cloth tool that we used was finaly not available for a public release. The author just didn't feel ready for that yet. After a lot of negociations and hesitations, we have decided to create our own cloth tool.
This was kind of a bold move because a cloth simulation is quite a challenge, technically speaking. You won't see a lot of games featuring such simulation. It caused some serious sweat in the team.
This unexpected development took two months, but as you can see it went pretty well. And there are even better news. First, owning the technology has allowed us to tailor it to our very needs, so the interaction is now even better than before. Second, cloth simulation has a lot in common with soft bodies, and we may add beautiful deformable body parts like breasts, buttocks, lips, genitals... in the near future.
It might have taken a while, but it was for the best. Quality first, you deserve it.
Next time, we meet in the game, promise!
