Trying out a new Extra
🕑 Added 2025-01-25 03:43:53 +0000 UTCI wanted to edit the previous comic of L&M, but I know notifications don't work that well when it comes to updates... so I'll have a new post here.
I've been considering having this extra for season 3, a brief panel of news from Meril to give a quick headline of some random news that's happening in the world.
It doesn't have to be related to the story. It's just a single panel of "Hey, this happened somewhere" to have a little bit more of a world feel.
I'm not sure how it will be received, and a bit worried it will be too packed? like...
There's the actual comic, the extra comic reply, then the news flash.
But I want to try it out, if it's not well received, I'll just cancel it. XDD
(Only the small screen will change for every scene, Meril will most likely just be like that)

LOL, Yeah that's also how One Piece does it on the cover pages of chapters XDD Still more leaning to actually make it random news, because it's like...3 updates a month, having it be a mini story will be like too focus on that one thing, and not report on other news. XDD

for the the mini series, in my mind it would still be the 1-panel extra, just if you put 2 or 3 together you get a complete mini-story. Maybe the next panel is Jill on the ground, and the week after it concludes. But yeah, Sophia and Sera need their stories too, don't over work your self lol

I was originally thinking of a series, where Meril gives that brief story, then transition to Jill, for more on the ground short story. But then, I'm like, yeah, right, finish Silent Smile first, and Kazakiri's current season's story, before even thinking of any of that. XD LOL So, I thought, what if it's just like a one panel extra? i'ts basically just a small panel, more realistic to execute than an actual series.

It's neat idea for some extra world building that doesn't quite fit in the story. You could sometimes have a mini-series as a short story unfolds. If it's successful, there could also be other segments and reporters, like weather, sports and general news to mix it up. Sometimes toss in an Erin conspiracy.

But still not quite sure, will still probably leave it to the last for. (because the first scene of the comic is always full screen) and feels weird if it's on top, because the comic will feel like it's been cut off.

I've been thinkig if I'l move it on the top as well. Like a brief news before the comic starts.

Nono, it will be on the same page~XD I just posted a new one, because updating doesn't send notifications normally. And I want to avoid the "I didn't get notifications" XDD But this will be on the same page as the next L&M as well XDD "Actual Comic" "Comment Reply extra" "5News"

You could probably move it to the start of an update as well. Like, transition into some watching tv

While I don't oppose it, I feel that following it as a separate update may be a bit confusing, But could work well as a side panel like the replies you do.
