I have the opposite opinion to yours. I use condoms as an item to connect real and fictional characters. Since condoms are rarely seen in anime and manga in general, I use them to create a realistic immersive experience. In adult videos, the situation is naturally different due to the relationship between real people performing. And to create a lingering effect of the sex scene, I only draw the condom after the sex scene. I don't specifically draw them during the sex scene, so please go easy on me.

In adult videos produced in Japan, actresses, who are considered products, cannot continue working if they become pregnant, so condoms are actually used. However, to avoid disrupting male instincts, scenes showing the application of condoms are typically not included. Is this consideration necessary if the characters are fictional and would not experience pregnancy?

thank you for replying I'm not sure if this qualifies as objective data, but in adult videos produced in Japan, scenes showing the use of condoms are typically not included. I think this is likely because the depiction of condoms goes against male instincts.

This is just my imagination, but I feel that the way people perceive it might differ depending on the country.

What does the fact that the characters are fictional have to do with the fact that condoms are unnecessary? I understand that you don't like condoms. (I don't think so) But I am not persuaded by the opinion that condoms are unnecessary. I have never seen an opinion like yours in the fanart community before. I'm curious if it's an overall thing or an individual thing, so I'd like to hear your convincing opinion as to why you think that way. (If you have any objective data I'd like to see it)

Since the characters are fictional, is it necessary to describe condoms? Personally, I find this depiction off-putting.
