Corporate Development Memo (2/2/2025)

I am about back home from a short trip and I really, really am glad I got a bit of a recharge/rest after this past update.
An Android version is now available on the page and basically update 8.2 is about done overall. I may make some final few tweaks for later, but it shouldn't impact any save files moving forward.
I am formally starting Part 3 tomorrow and will begin writing and outlining quite a bit. I am also focusing on a few key things:
1) I have started working on a Steam version of KG. More on that later, but I am on this now.
2) I will be trying to also work on an 8.2 Walkthrough while I outline and start Part 3. More details soon.
3) Anais is going to start putting together an outline of a "faction" walkthrough and we are discussing how to do it without too many spoilers but also some hints, etc. But if you are someone that doesn't want any spoilers at all, this may be a document you don't want to read carefully. (we will make a separate file for this document outside of the walkthrough)
4) For The Quantum Academy game, I will quietly be doing a small bit of writing when time permits but there are other members of the team so this won't drain my time very much. The trajectory of that game will really accelerate once the KG Steam Version is getting close. (Anais is helping me with this as well.)
5) I will do a poll this week about "polls/fantasy scenarios" again and what Patrons may want moving forward. I really like doing them but also recognize people might prefer me working on the game renders even more. So I'll again bring this up for vote/discussion with everyone in a week or so. Maybe I can keep doing them, or alternate dom/sub ones each month, or do them with slightly smaller render counts? I personally love doing them but I kind of want people to get value and enjoy being a Patron, etc.
6) I am going to try VERY hard to limit the next update to about 2,000 renders versus the 5,000 from this last update. So the next update may come sooner than people expect (I am farther along on outlining scenes than in any prior "start" of an update before) but we'll see. I have to control myself from going overboard!
7) Last, I am looking for some paid help with a bit of the Steam version so just posting this for anyone that might be good at this kind of thing:

Job description: I'm looking for a person familiar with Renpy and adult VNs to assist me with some technical assistance for the Steam Version of Karlsson's Gambit. The first version of Steam will involve Episodes 1-7 (Season One) which is roughly 17000+ renders and 60,000+ lines of code.
This person can hopefully help me with some features I'd like to add to the game that currently do not exist in the Patreon version. Some examples that are included but not limited are the following: (I do not require all these to be happy but they are a wish list right now and may change (add or reduce as I think more on it)
Base level:
1) Basic menu/UI assistance to ensure ease of switching languages and other options for a better player experience. I am working on translating the game at first through a rough draft of AI/Renpy tools and then checking them with native speakers after the fact. The tech side of this will just be to ensure it all flows smoothly, etc. Other random little menu/features (such as textbox alteration/font options) Basic name save option.
2) A gallery of numerous scenes that can be categorized by dom/sub path and a few other metrics. Ideally, there can be a way to keep them "locked" until such scenes appear…and a separate way to unlock all scenes.
3) Basic incorporation of Steam achievements in the code/game. (I am not super familiar with Steam so this is helpful if you know a lot but I will write the actual achievements, just need them "inserted" properly, etc.)
4) Basic "bios" in a UI system where players can pull up (KG has a lot of characters so this is helpful for sure) basic info about most of the characters you meet in the game. (I will not update these as you play as the complexity is likely too vast) I would also like this bio system (no need to update with text new changes) to have some major metrics for sure.
a) Current rank of Kane (when applicable after early in the story) if you click on him.
b) Current faction and leader/members (will not be applicable for Season 1 but someday yes)
c) Dom/Sub status (different color background on Kane with his basic stats)
d) Females: If a "flag" unlocks a romance or harem/lust/slave path I would like that flag to be reflected under that female. For example if one were to open a Veronica sub romance, I would like the player to be able to click V's portrait and it shows that somehow. A special menu that is a bit different for Olivia than other females (her being more similar to Kane) (edited)
5) A basic blip on the left corner of the screen when major flags happen (romance opens, bigger decisions but not everything) Just a nice bonus, not a critical feature.
6) Anything else that comes up after more thought on it.
High-level desire: (I consider this one tougher to do well)
7) An in-game walkthrough that can be used during the game. (it will highlight spoiler flags/choices during decisions and be an option that can be turned on/off in the main menu) The WT also being connected to a basic UI feature where a player can "click" something and pull up current flags and stats for their player. Last, a basic way to "click" certain flags that might not be clear (example sis_p) which can explain briefly what those flags mean.
Qualifications: You just need the skills to do the job properly. Any way to prove this is the case will suffice with me. (Renpy/Adult VN prior work is the best way to show me) I may not limit this to one person too if it seems one is better at one thing versus another, etc. It is VERY helpful if you have some ability with graphic design skills (PS or other programs) as that would be an added value to pure tech/coding.
Highly prefer that a person is able to sign up for or have the Wise financial app/site for payments (especially if out of country payments) versus Paypal which has always given me problems more than once. Open to ideas on compensation, if I was in this person's shoes I would probably try and pitch a base amount and some way to try and make extra if the game does well on Steam, but that's me…

Ok, I'll be back in more of a "normal" pace/swing of things by next weekend and will be back into things. Again, I really did need the mental break/recharge and feel really good now compared to two weeks ago.

Good morning, Mistress Tess! It's nice to have you back sound and healthy. If I may say so, Mistress Tess, then I would like to tell you that I always loved and will always love when you can't control yourself from going overboard - lol. Please don't hold back and do that so often as possible. I'm playing right now your last update as secret sub Kane and I'm soooo delighted about this scene with Lady Angelica and her Bitch Kane. I can't describe how much aroused Lady Angelica made me there. I really wish I could have been in his shoes lying on that table there. I'm really looking forward so much to the next session with Lady Angelica. Thank you very much, Mistress Tess, for granting us this overwhelming experience!
