With this mod, you can ask family members who live in different homes to help with child care. The idea is to use grandparents, aunts, and uncles as free babysitters.
Maxis added a parental visit situation, but I don't like it because it works at random. You can ask for help straight from different kids' items and from infants, children, and toddlers with this mod's added interactions:
Grandparents and aunts/uncles have a specific interaction, but there is another one to call other relatives, such as the parents who do not reside on the same lot. Sims need to have a good relationship (+25) with the relative for them to show up on the picker.
Once "hired", the relative will help with children care for 6 hours:

I suspect that's a maxis bug rather than my mod cause their tuning is clear about the terms of the daycare, great that it worked tho. The relative is supposed to stay for the duration of the situation (6 hours) because I set it that way, so you can simulate the child being with the relative even if the game says it's at daycare (daycare just means the baby is not selectable anyway)

The aunt babysitting actually did work. I just got the popup about the daycare but the baby didn't actually go to daycare. The aunt did stay with her until the parents got home. Love the mod. Thanks.

The infant on daycare, yes. Sadly the module that handles the daycare doesn't support any other situation but maxis nanny and the butler. To make this one work, I'd have to replace the nanny and I won't do that. As for the autonomy, it's the same as the standard nanny and works perfectly in my game. Autonomy can be affected by many factors like other mods.

My sim called a grandparent to help and she came over and did nothing. Then I called a teen sibling to babysit but the game sent the infant to daycare anyway. Is this normal?
