A preference category should exist for the book genres, but I can't see that anyone has made on. How would I do that?

Why did they add them at all? There were already preferences in game (movies from movie hangout and weather from seasons) and didn't even go back to fix them... Now it feels like something disconnected from the rest of the game like every addition they do.

The new career has a lot of problems. So I was finally able to test these. Reading, chess and no random would let me select gigs but no likes/dislikes were visible. Main would not even let me select a new gig. Clicking on the clipboard icon, to open the available gigs menu, did nothing. the menu would not appear. I tested these alone, one at a time. Side note, I can not enter apartments for HD gigs. I'm sure it's unrelated, but I know how much you like Maxis' QA department, so thought I'd share.

Right.. I need to test this on my own because I'm getting contradictory reports about the mods causing this problem...

Sorry I do have the "no random preferences for NPCs". But on it's own, it doesn't seem to cause any issues.

do you also have the one that removes the random assignation of preferences to sims?

It would appear that problem persists. I haven't tried them individually yet.

yes, same problem she's having too... i haven't tested the career, let me know if it works now.

I haven't had a chance to play yet. I did mod removal and troubleshooting to find the issue. When it wasn't working, I was still able interact with clients but no info was updated in the gig menu. In fact that section was completely blank. No circles or text or anything.

did it work now? 'cause someone is having this same problem with no mods (also the interactions to ask the preferences aren't there)

Likes would not show up in the gig menu, so I wouldn't know what did or did not like. When I removed the older chess preference mode, it was functional again.

that's controlled from the script... what problem were you having? I probably know the cause

Nice! The previous version I had to remove, because it messed with the career client likes.

I uploaded it just so people can have a template to work on... Doing them is probably easier than personally trait, but to make them work like Maxis ones there are a bunch of buffs involved

It seems like too much types of actions need to make over for uploading new likes/dislikes. It's really boring to make over all but about from 3 to 5 maybe ok. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to explore your mod =)
