ALL - Autonomy Mods
🕑 Added 2021-06-03 06:46:44 +0000 UTCThese are a collection of autonomy mods I use in my game. I don't like to turn off autonomy altogether, but I also hate obsessive behaviour... so I did some tweaks to some autonomous only actions sims tend to do way too often:
Bar: sims will use the bar autonomously only if they: 1. already have mixology skill 2. are actually thirsty
Coffee/Tea: group crafting autonomously will only happen if the sim is thirsty, also, they must own the object... I hate visitors walking in the kitchen and using appliances autonomously.
Drink: tested the grab drinks interactions to check that the sim is actually thirsty. They must own the object. Blacklisted Vampires.
Food: in order to autonomously grab lunch, snack and cookies, they must own the object. Blacklisted Vampires.
Grill: they must be hungry, blacklisted Vampires.
TV: fun must be >25
Phone: fun must be >25
Reading: fun must be >25, disabled browse books autonomy.
Wash Hands: hands must be dirty.
Ice Cream: object must be owned
Vending Machine: they must be hungry or thirsty. Not needed if you have my GTW vending machine works in dorms (already included and conflicts). Blacklisted Vampires.
Cooler: they must be hungry or thirsty. Blacklisted Vampires.
Globe Bar: for some reason, this tests that the sim is hungry, changed to test thirst.
Chess: only sims who already have the logic skill will play chess autonomously. Geniuses, elders, bookworms and geeks require at least skill 3, everyone else 7. Also removed the play chess from some role (like celebrities in parks... and children). Fucking chess! Maxis didn't even include a like/dislike chess.
Watch Performance: every time a sim grabs an instrument, everyone around rushes to watch it like it was the best fucking thing in the world, even if the moron in question has no skills... this is an attempt at reducing it, also blacklisted sims who don't like such activities from watching them.
Knitting: restricts knitting autonomy to elders with at least 5 knitting skill

If you have other mods by me doing the same, remove them... these are the most updated versions I use in game. I constantly mess with these so expect frequent updates.
I use these mods together with Ages Behaviour Tweaks for the best result.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just am genuinely a bit confused. How do I download the ones who have no links to their names? Such as Food, Globe Bar, etc. Are they currently not available for a reason or...

yes unless they have autonomous custom interaction. You can use MCCC to turn off autonomy, enable autonomy scan and click on the object

Thanks for the bar thing. ALL my creative sims with the home studio lot trait are overly inspired, and constantly going to the bar (first thing in the morning!) to mix drinks and end up as alcoholics or tipsy (basemental). So annoying, Will this work on custom content bars?

Knitting question: do Sims ever start a project autonomously, or do they just continue existing projects?

The attention cost of the knitting interactions allows multitasking which is ridiculous, Sims who are knitting are also picked by other Sims to have a chat, and they can't chat while knitting. I was meaning to look into it but since there was a bug with the interaction I postponed. I'm currently not using the knitting skill but I'll see if something can be done.

One girl mentioned this above The autonomous going to the PC to play video games, in particular drives me nuts. I had Claudia Sharon's No PC nothing Mod but it has not been updated to CL. As always I look forward to your mods because we have the same temperament regarding the Sims, so Thank You Zero. Anyone have an insight as to why my Sim starts to knit while he is on the weight machine? I want him to be exercising not knitting. He also knits in the steam bath tub thing that came with Snowy Escape and it looks pretty weird to have a sim knitting in the water.

Thanks for these! I was using different ones for the bar/globe but they were super old.

Computers are a mess, there are 2000 interactions and are all autonomous, it conflicts with everything. I use Age Behaviour Tweaks for that, via buffs... I'm reworking the mod right now, I should have it ready in a bit.

I love these!! Can you please add computers as well? First thing my sims do it walk into my house and play my computer, sometimes they even kind of swarm at it, and it drives me mental. I have several mods to prevent this but it never works lol. As for my sim all they want to do is troll forums but they're a good person so I don't know why they'd want to. Maybe if their character values were crap or they were evil I'd see it.
