Yes, exactly, it went beyond their comedy act, the pause in “ I wanted it to work… our act”. I get bummed that most people don’t catch that double meaning while reacting to the episode, but I am glad that you caught it. It gives Mr. smile lot more depth and shows us our first hint at a non-gem queer relationship in the show! One of my personal favorites!
