Those Days: Patreon Version 0.6
🕑 Added 2021-05-01 22:18:31 +0000 UTCHey, everyone! Monthly update here! I'm sorry for the delay, I bit off more than I could chew with this update. I really thought I would finish all of what I had planned at the beginning of the week, but I couldn't. Moving on...
So, as I said before, this was going to be a quality update, meaning: the focus is to adjust the script to make it more cohesive as new content comes, and not to bring new art/plot. It is like I'm cleaning the house, you know?
What changed?
Behind the curtains
I turned the whole script into a lot of small topics and added a lot of key points that you, as the player, would be able to choose to interact with. Not all of the choices are available in this update yet because I want to tease you guys, but trust me, it will end up feeling very interesting. This took me about two weeks to get done, and it is the most important update at the moment because soon you'll be able to enjoy different naughty scenes based on your choice. Also, the "cutscenes" should be working without the text-box cutting the image now!
Small sprite updates (... again)!
While I was doing that "script mapping" I kept replaying the game, and I've decided to make Sal and the Boy a little different. They still looked very childish to me. Which made me rewrite some of their lines from day 1 to day 8. Sal is not supposed to behave in such a shy way. She knows what's up and she gets a lot of things quickly. I kept thinking that she was always talking nonsense all the time (LOL). I still plan to rewrite some of her lines, though. And as for the Boy, I just wanted to make him more attractive and I want him to become more neutral in some previously-mentioned key points. The player will be the one that will be "responsible" for all the naughty narratives that will get developed. I'll update ALL of the character's sprites again. But that will not be so soon.
Gallery!
I did learn to make a gallery! Hooray! I was so excited to add it in this update, but I still have to add some coding to all the scenes in the game which, as you all know, is a lot (and I love Those Days because of how much art there is to it). Can't say that I'll be able to add the gallery in the next update, because...
Artwork!
Because of the artwork! Yes! This month will have some more days added to it. And more days means more plot and more art. And artwork needs more time! And I would rather spend more time making art for these new days than programming the gallery right now.
Speaking of art, this update has three revamped artworks! I truly hope you enjoy them. I think they look amazing!!
Next updates.
So, from now on, I'll be sharing with you all these sorts of updates including more sketches. There will basically three types of updates: Pure revamp of sprites and arts that need some kind of revamping (including background art, which I really need to get some more practice); more quality updates, which means some art and script update combined; and new content updates again. For May, I'll be working on new content with a little bit of revamping. I'm going to make another poll for this revamp, so please, stay tuned (again).

I'm glad I came up with this system because I think it will reward Patreon supporters even more, and it will give me more time to add even more art to the game. And also, please, if you don't feel "rewarded" enough with my work, I'm so, so sorry. But this is what I can offer for now. I will make sure not to raise anyone's expectations from now on, so I'll share with you guys the monthly progress more often. Again, I'm sorry.
Also, I would like to apologize for not posting the public version on Itch.io. I just want the game to be the most cohesive before posting there publicly. Sometimes I feel like the comments there can be too harsh, so I'm kinda avoiding going there without the strongest feeling of confidence. It is something very hard to explain, but I know some of you get what I mean, and I genuinely love you for that.
