"I need you to calm down." I told Maegelle, "Listen to me for a second."
"Calm down, Drakken?!" She exclaimed as she paced back and forth, "How can I calm down?! How long have you hidden this from me?! Months?! After Daranne's death?!"
We were back in her chambers, she was quite upset at the sudden discovery of Jocelyn being alive. I had told her that she could not mention her true past in front of her, should her memories flood back at once.
"Yes." I said as I stood there, "I brought her back shortly after I returned from Asshai. After the War ended."
She stood there and looked at me with a surprised look, "And you didn't tell me anything?" She asked, her voice soft, "All this time, you didn't tell me that my own Aunt, my brother's late wife, was alive and living here under my nose???'
"I would apologize...." I said, "If I didn't think that I was doing this for a good reason…”
"What reason is that?" She asked as she walked up to me, "What reason do you have for bringing her back? How did you even bring her back? How did you obtain her body??"
"Don't worry about that." I said
"Don't worry about it? Drakken, she is my aunt!" She exclaimed, "She is alive.....the same aunt that we lost a few years ago in the Essosi attack! And you've lied to her?! About the true circumstances of her death?!"
"She doesn't remember anything besides the fact that your Mother has three children." I said, "These are clear signs of her memory being altered when bringing her back. I kept her here to examine her symptoms, and everything else seems fine. She just has that one issue and I am waiting to see how long it'll take for them to come back on their own. I am not touching her, I am not harming her, she is simply here...safe....."
"Y-You...." Maegelle said, her voice cracking, "She has two daughters, Drakken.....two little girls...."
"They are not my problem." I said, "Not now."
"What do you plan on using her for??" She asked, "Just so Aemon can suffer? Because of the hand he had in Daranne's-"
"Yes." I cut her off, a serious look in my face, "I want him to suffer. I wanted to wait until he and Daella had a child together....I wanted to wait for her memories to return so I could throw back in the fold. What emotional turmoil would Aemon have, her dead wife coming back from the dead, finding out that he moved on quite quickly."
"Drakken...." She said softly, "What about her children..."
"That is why I wanted Rhaenys to be promised to Riktor, even pushing Aemon to allow them to be together. They are children, yes.....but should that have been the case, I was going to have Rhaenys here.....with her Mother." I said as I turned around and walked towards the table, "That is the plan. I don't care much about Rhaella. If she wants to be with her mother, sure.....I don't mind."
"But this....this is wrong!" She said, "You plan on examining the effects of resurrection from the Shade while tormenting my brother? Why? Why do this?!"
I turned around, "I do this for her!!!" I shouted, "I do it for her, Maegelle! You know damn well!!"
She looked taken aback, "Daranne..."
I walked slowly to her, "Do you have any idea what this means?" I asked, "That Jocelyn, whose Mind was not in the Foundation, would have these effects? What does this mean for Daranne, Should the opportunity arise to bring her back? Hm? Would she remember us? Would she remember you? Would she remember me? And most importantly, would she remember her son? Sylas?"
"I..." She looked down
I gently lifted her face up, holding her by the chin, "I do it for her." I said seriously, "She was taken from us. She is gone....but not forgotten. I want her back, no matter how long it takes. Don't, for one second, think that I have forsaken her. The one thing I promised her.....I would never forsake her. I would never forget her. I would never cast her aside....."
"You do love her." She said softly, a tear rolling down her cheek
I pulled away, "Jocelyn...." I said, "Is but an experiment. She means nothing to me. But if I could torment and punish Aemon in the meanwhile, so be it. She is the first step...."
"What?" She asked, "What do you mean?"
"I could very well bring the boy back as well." I said as I patted my sleeves, "I can obtain his ashes. As well as the ashes of your sister."
"M-My Sister?" She asked with a frown, "Who do you-.......Daenerys....."
I nodded, "You understand, right?" I asked, "This is purely punishment.....but at the same time, an experiment. All for the sake of bringing her back....my Daranne....."
"But Drakken...." She said softly, "What would you have me do?"
"Keep....quiet..." I said, "Jocelyn.....she belongs to the Trinity. She is my servant, no matter how you look at it. And you will not tell her a damned thing about Aemon...about her children.....until I say so. Do you understand?"
She looked down, "Do I have a choice?"
"No." I said, "There are many things that I let go, Maegelle. This....it is not one of them."
"I understand." She said softly, "Please.....whatever you do....do not hurt her."
"I won't." I said,
"That's not the plan."
***********************
I sat down on the chair as I cleaned the blood of my hands with a rag, "Hm." I said, "She got tired easily."
I was looking at Ceres, who was hanging from the rack, her head hanging down. This was another day of torturing her until she broke and I am quite close, alright.
She is now begging me to stop, crying uncontrollably until she passes out. And I could wake her up and keep going, but I don't feel like it at the moment.
Jocelyn stood next to me, "My Lord...." She said, "How long do you plan on her being tortured? And me cleaning her up?"
"Until I decide.....when to stop." I said as I looked at Ceres, "I won't hear any protests."
"Months....of just....doing this..." Jocelyn said, "It doesn't get tiring?"
"She took something precious from me." I said seriously, "She deserves worse. But I want her. I want her faith to be mine....and I will take it....by force....I don't care what it takes."
"I see...." She said, "I've been thinking..."
I didn't look at her, simply stared at Ceres, feeling nothing but rage fill my entire being.
"What?" I asked with a scowl
"Were.....were we lovers?" She asked suddenly
I slowly turned my head towards her, "Huh?"
She looked down, "I..." She said, "What you've told me once before....you said that you were the reason I've had a very passionate night, the first time we met...."
"Right.." I said
"And I've been doing some thinking...." Jocelyn said, "If that night of passion was the first time we met......d-did we have plenty more?"
"I...." I said, "Wait, that's what you took from it?"
I really meant that I slipped an aphrodisiac in her drink, having her fuck Aemon so they could have their first child.
She looked at me, "Is that not the truth?"
I chuckled and looked away, "Not really." I said, "But good try. I'll give you another chance to guess right."
"Don't mess it up."
