"Please tell me that Ezra does not plan to do anything." Alyssa whispered to Viserra, "Because I really don't want to be outed, Viserra. I believe Vaegon is onto us already.....Baelon will do his best in covering for me..."
Viserra was leaning on the window, looking outside, "He has not told me anything." She said, "I would not be so worried...."
Alyssa frowned, "How could you be so relaxed?" She asked, "You're a girl, Viserra....you don't understand the situation we are in."
"Nothing is going to happen." Viserra said with a slight smile, "Can you not feel it? The presence of the Great God of War and Death?"
"I...." Alyssa said before looking away, "I do feel the power....it's because of our marks, isn't it?"
"As we speak..." Viserra said, "Many worshippers are praying to him....whether in their homes....or in the Shrine....but they feel it too."
"I don't understand how any of us should be calm." Alyssa said, "Two men died within the first day of him being here."
"But was it someone close to us?" Viserra asked as she looked at her, "Was it our Family? No. You should calm down."
Alyssa frowned, "I...." She started, "Look...I have three sons, Viserra...I only look out for them. And Baelon."
"Baelon is a target of Drakken's Ire." She said seriously, "No matter what you do, he is not safe. Perhaps....."
"What?" Alyssa said
"No." Viserra said, "It won't happen."
"What?" Alyssa grabbed her shoulder, "What won't happen?"
"You offer something to Drakken in order to ensure that he leaves Baelon alone." She said, "A really good offering that would balance it out."
"And what would that be?" Alyssa asked, "I...I would do anything for him."
"I honestly wouldn't know. But Drakken is in a mood that won't allow him to accept an offering." She said, "You already made a deal with him, you belong to the Trinity."
Alyssa sighed, "I...." She said, "I just want it to be over with."
"Perhaps it will." A voice said behind them
Viserra froze completely as she felt the tense presence of Drakken behind her, a cold chill running down her spine as he appeared out of nowhere.
"D-Drakken..." Alyssa said, "I thought you were going to be in your chambers....."
This was a few hours after Drakken made the declaration to Aemon, claiming that the two of them would soon fight to the death. While Aemon was unsettled by it, he simply took his wife and daughters and left with Alyssa.
Drakken walked up to her, "Hm..." He said, "You.....seems my Mark is sitting nice and comfy in you...."
He gently rubbed the mark through her shirt with his furled finger, causing her to step back in response to this.
"You...." Alyssa said
"Don't forget our deal, Alyssa Targaryen." Drakken told her, "I can feel your Heart, it is not truly mine. You should fully accept me as your true god. Once that happens, you and your son will be truly cured of your Fates."
"Wait..." Alyssa widened her eyes
"I merely staved off your affliction..." Drakken said, "But should you truly accept me and worship me....should your Heart be true to me.....then, there is truly nothing to fear. Your Fate....it would be avoided. But now....you're not there, I know that. You feel the discomfort, don't you? Maegelle felt it for a long time.....but no more. She truly accepts me.."
Alyssa looked down, "I..." She said softly, "I am really tired..."
"I know." Drakken patted her cheek gently, "I know you are. But once the Trinity overtakes everything, I promise that you and your boys will live free of worry."
"And Baelon?" Alyssa asked
"We'll figure it out when we get there." Drakken leaned down to her, "You see, Aemon is not the only one I plan to plunge into despair. It is my punishment to him, for taking part in my woman's death."
"I..." Alyssa said softly, "I am sorry...."
Drakken straightened up and looked at Viserra, "And you....." He said seriously, "Dragon Maiden."
Viserra slowly turned to look at him, a bit of fear and surprise in her face, "M-My Lord..." She said softly, "I did not expect for you to approach me...."
"Sol'Tyr." Drakken said, "You are currently serving him?"
Viserra nodded, "Yes....." She looked down, "He has not given me an assignment, but yes."
"If I were you, I'd be careful with him." Drakken said, "He seeks a vessel. And he will stop at nothing to get it."
"R-Right..." Viserra said
Drakken grabbed her hand and raised it, inspecting her skin and rubbing the meat on her arms, "Hm...." He said, "You're a bit thin, aren't you?"
Viserra looked at him with surprise, "Well..."
"I don't want a malnourished Dragon Maiden serving me." Drakken said as he gently grabbed her by the chin, "If you're malnourished, you won't handle the draining."
With his thumb, he rubbed her lip, causing Viserra to simply stare at him with her round eyes.
"Of course..." She said softly, "I will do my best...."
"Good." Drakken said as he pulled away, "Remember, Viserra Targaryen, you are mine. You are a Dragon Maiden. I would like to repeat the last part, a Maiden. Do not spoil yourself, or you will be casted away."
"N-No.." She said, "I won't...."
"Hm." Drakken said, "Have you met your niece?"
"Yes." Viserra nodded, "Vaella...she's....beautiful."
"When you put a few years on....." Drakken said, "I will assign you to teach Vaella a few things."
"Teach her what?" Viserra asked
"With time, you'll know." Drakken turned around and began to walk away, "Don't worry. For now, you'll simply be her aunt. Do not fail me, Viserra.....Alyssa....."
"Remember who you belong to."
*****************
"Baelon..." Alyssa walked inside her chambers, seeing that Baelon was sitting Aegon in his lap, "I....sorry, I was with Viserra."
Baelon was looking at their son, Daemon was lying asleep next to him on the couch, "I know." He said, "About Viserra."
Alyssa stopped and looked at him, "K-Know what?"
"You're both part of the Trinity." Baelon said seriously, looking at her, "You and Viserra."
"We've been through this." She said, "I had no choice."
"I know." Baelon said, "And I don't blame you. But Viserra? She did. And she made it."
"Yes. She did." Alyssa looked down
"It was you, wasn't it?" Baelon asked her, "The Eggs...."
Alyssa slowly hugged her arms, "I had no choice."
"So you tell yourself." Baelon said, "You've betrayed our Family, Alyssa. And the only reason I have not told Father or anyone else is because despite everything, I still love you. With everything I have. I am willing to fight that monster for you....."
Alyssa looked at him, "Maybe we don't have to."
"There's no other choice." Baelon said, "He's unnatural.....his daughter.....our niece....she's an abom-"
"Shut up." Alyssa slowly shook her head, tears forming in her eyes, "Don't bring her into this. She's....innocent of everything. What has Vaella done to us? What has Maegelle done but try her best to keep Drakken from laying everything to waste?"
Baelon set Aegon aside and stood up, "Alyssa." He said as he walked over to her, "Drakken.....he needs to be gone."
"One way or another..."
