"Hello, Mother." Saera said as she stood there, "Father. It has been some time."
Jaehaerys looked at her, "Saera....."
Maegelle began to walk forward, prompting some of the Duskguard to take a step forward in defense, their serious eyes on the Targaryen Guards that were in front of them.
"Mother....!" Maegelle said as she moved some hair away from her face, "I....I could not wait to show you...look! My daughter...!"
She had a smile on her face so warm that upon looking at it, The Queen could not help but melt inside. Various emotions dwelled inside Alysanne that the only thing she could do is to soften her expression and take a step forward.
"Oh, my beautiful girl...." She said as she offered her arms, "Come here....."
As Maegelle reached her, Alysanne hugged her gently, trying to hold back tears.
"It is okay." Maegelle said softly, "For today.....there will be peace...."
Alysanne kissed her cheek, "I don't care.....as long as you're here....in front of me...the world could be burning." She said as she stepped back, "L-Let me see.....let me see her..."
Maegelle smiled and moved aside the blanket from Vaella's face to show her sleeping face, "She has been asleep." She said, "The ride through the city did not seem to bother her one bit."
Alysanne could not help but smile, "Oh...." she said, "L-Look at her...."
At that moment, the mere sight of her granddaughter made Alysanne forget about all the atrocities the girl's father had done. She did not care that Vaella was Drakken's daughter nor did she care that to everyone else, she was illegitimate.
To the Queen, she was looking at Maegelle's daughter.
"She's beautiful..." Alysanne patted the top of her had, "H-Her name?"
"Vaella." Maegelle said, "Her name is Vaella."
"A Valyrian name..." Jaeaherys said, "I see....."
Maegelle nodded, "She has valyrian blood after all." She said, "Targaryen blood...."
Alysanne looked over at Saera, who still stood next to Drakken and the others, "Saera..." She said as she offered her hand, "Come, my daughter..."
Saera was using her fan on herself, "Hmph....." She said, "What for?"
"You are my daughter." The Queen said, "Please....come...so I can see you up close...."
Saera looked at Drakken, who had his arms crossed, as if silently asking him for approval.
Drakken shrugged and said nothing, displaying apathy in the matter.
Saera sighed, "Fine."
The Princess walked over to her and Alysanne stepped closer to her, gently patting her cheek as she looked at her belly.
"You are to be a Mother..." Alysanne said, "You bear his child as well."
"That, I do." Saera said, "This is something I had wanted, I did not make my Love wait. And I really don't care if any of you two care for the child. I can already feel the disapproval coming from His Grace."
Jaehaerys frowned, "Saera...." He started, "You are my daughter...."
"I am." Saera said, "But above all else, I am Drakken's woman. As is Maegelle. And soon, we'll be his wives."
"Wives?" Alysanne said with a bit of surprise
"Saera...." Maegelle said with a frown, "That's...."
"That is what My Love promised, after all." Saera said as she closed her eyes, "When Maegelle's child is born, he will marry us. His words."
Drakken heard this but said nothing, knowing full well this was Saera trying to create discord, which he approved of.
Jaehaerys glanced at them, his eyes lay on Mya, "Even that one?" He asked, "The mother of his eldest....?"
"Yes, what of her?" Saera said, "You do realize she is the First, right?"
"First....mistress?" Jaehaerys asked
"First of the Trinity." Saera said with a slight smirk, "It would be rather important if she marries the Great God of War and Death."
"Sister..." Maegelle warned, "Enough...."
"Hm...." Jaehaerys said
Saera chuckled, "I merely want to make conversation." She said as she hid her face behind her fan, "Is that not right?"
"We should get you inside." Alysanne said as she grabbed her hand, "Your sisters would like to see you. Alyssa is with the little Aegon and Viserra is busy reading. I will summon them to my chambers. Please, come....come, my girls...."
"Sure, fine." Saera said, "I accept."
Maegelle looked back at Drakken who gave her a nod, allowing her to continue.
As the Queen pulled Saera inside and Maegelle followed them, Jaehaerys merely stood there and looked at the others, almost awkwardly. There was clear tension at that moment, especially with Drakken's stone-cold stare.
The King was not stupid, he knew that Drakken wanted nothing but to break every piece of his body but it was only a promise of peace that kept that from happening. In that moment, Jaehaerys did not feel regret for handing Maegelle over, as she was the obvious reason that this was possible.
Jaehaerys cleared his throat, "Drakken..." He said, "I know you don't want to be her-"
"I don't think you've met my sons." Drakken cut him off as he gestured with one arm to the boys, "This is Riktor, the black-haired one....and Sylas, the blonde one."
Jaehaerys looked at his sons; Sylas was standing in front of Mya, who was gently running her hand through his hair.
"R-Right...." the King said, "They.....they have your eyes."
"Hm." Drakken said, "My blood too.....and well, the one that Maegelle has in her arms....she has both of our blood, Jaehaerys...."
"Right...." Jaehaerys said
"This is the King of Westeros?" Riktor asked his Father
"That's right." Drakken said, "King Jaehaerys I Targaryen, son of Aenys I Targaryen, and Grandson of The Conqueror. You realize that is quite something, right?"
"I thought you were older than him?" Riktor frowned, "He's an old man."
"I am older." Drakken said, "Much older."
"Huh, how about that." Riktor said as he rubbed his hair, "So......who's Balerion's rider? I hear he's the largest dragon in the world."
"That'd be Baelon." Drakken said, "Fucking prick, I'll tell you."
"Didn't he ride Vhagar, the second largest dragon?" Riktor asked with a raised eyebrow
"Well, he used to. Ammaria killed that one." Drakken told him, "The second largest is technically this old man's dragon. I believe."
"Interesting." Riktor said, "Why doesn't Mama Maegelle and Mama Saera ride dragons? Aren't they his daughters?"
"Ask him." Drakken gestured
Jaehaerys could not help but clear his throat, "I have a wing of the Keep prepared for you and your family, Drakken." He said, "I trust that your Duskguard Knights will not cause trouble."
"They won't." Drakken said, "Unless I command it."
"Then...." the King said, "I hope I can trust your word...."
Drakken took a couple of steps forward, placing his hands in his coat's pockets, "Sylas." He said as he stopped a couple of feet away from him, "Are you looking at the King?"
"Yes?" Sylas said as Mya looked down at him with a slight smile
"Learn the features of this man's face." Drakken said seriously, "He is the one behind your Mother's death."
"This man right here."
