[The Eyrie]
The halls of the fortress were covered in bodies of soldiers to did everything in their power to stop the single individual who walked through their doors.
"H-How did he get in here?!" a Knight shouted as he drew his sword, "Protect Lord Arryn!!"
Several guards rushed down the hallway, yelling out war cries as they charged at the figure in the shadows. In a split second, pieces of limbs flew out and blood sprayed on the walls as the dark figure walked down the hallway, walking towards the Knights who stood there and watched with pure horror.
Drakken took a step forward, his armor stained in blood as he held a black spear in his right hand, looking at them through his helm's eyeslits, his eyes glowing red. Every footstep he took resounded through the hallway as a black mist emitted from his feet.
The Knights stared him down, not knowing what to do in this situation, fear settling down in their bodies as they began to tremble.
"This.....thing...!!" One of them said, "What is he?!"
"Black armor.....they're like scales...." another said as Drakken got closer, "Who is he?!"
In the blink of an eye, the spear impaled through one of them, planting them against the wall behind them. Massive cracks appeared on the wall as the man instantly died, his entire body going limp, as the other knights simply stared at this with pure shock.
Drakken had launched the spear hard at them, piercing through their armor with ease as he simply walked forward.
The other knights looked at him, "W-What....." He said
They watched as Drakken's helm began to shift, as if something was growing out of it. Horns began to appear on the top and curved down, emitting a bit of smoke and embers.
One of the Knights gritted their teeth, "For Lord Arryn!!" He shouted as he charged forward, "Die!!!"
He swung his sword at Drakken, the blade hitting his armor but ended up shattering upon impact, causing him to stumble.
"W-What?!" He exclaimed
Drakken then grabbed him by the throat and lifted him up with ease, raising his hand and conjuring a sword out of thin air, embers flying out as he did so.
Without saying a word, Drakken plunged the sword into his stomach, piercing the steel plate as the man widened his eyes in pure shock. Drakken then let go of his throat and at the same time, he swung his arm outwards, cutting through his body. Blood and guts sprayed out and covered the entire floor as Drakken raised his arm towards the others.
"This...." The other Knight said
Drakken's spear then shot right back to his hand, causing the corpse to fall down, and as he caught it, he swung both weapons to the side, releasing a powerful shockwave as his eyes began to glow even brighter.
Then, a deep growl came from Drakken's helm as he slouched down slightly, a pressure being emitted.
"Are.....we going to die?" The Knight said as he began to sweat profusely, "Is this the end?"
Drakken then lunged at him with blinding speed, his entire body being shredded in an instant as he appeared behind him.
Drakken straightened up, and the growling did not stop. The entire castle began to shake violently as he released a dark aura from his body, embers being emitted from the armor.
"Everything....." Drakken's voice was distorted,
"Will Die!!!"
***********************
Caraxes and Meleys flew over the Eyrie's courtyard, which had an open space allowing anything from above to fly in. They then slowly descended and saw that there was nothing but bodies scattered all around the area.
As the entire Vale was being ravaged by the Duskguard, Jaehaerys quickly sent his two fastest dragons to the Eyrie, a risky yet necessary measure to ensure that Lord Arryn, Rodrik's son, would be safe. He believed that as long as Balerion did not descend upon the battlefield, everything would be fine. He had ordered his son and daughter not to engage in anything, solely to extract the Young Lord and his siblings out of there if possible.
As their dragons landed, Aemon noticed that there were some armored Duskguard soldiers standing there, holding their spears and shields.
Caraxes let out a growl as Meleys shook her head and let out a rumble.
Aemon looked around, "What just happened?" He said as he placed his hand on the handle of her sword, "Duskguard....."
Alyssa dismounted her dragon and looked around, "I wonder if the boy lord is fine." she said as she looked at the unmoving Duskguard soldiers, "This sight is not a pretty one."
Aemon dismounted Caraxes and looked at the nearby Duskguard Knight, "You...." He said as he drew his sword slowly, "We did not come here to fight."
The Knights did not react, they simply did not even pay attention to the two dragonriders and their mounts.
Aemon frowned as he slowly walked over to the nearby corpse and turned it around, "I recognize this one." He said, "It is the Castellan......Ser Joffrey...."
"The Duskguard managed to break through the defenses?" Alyssa said as she walked to the side, "How impressi-"
She was cut off by a wave of dark aura, akin to darkness, that hit her from the side of the courtyard. She stumbled and got to her knees, unwillingly so. This alerted Aemon and he turned around immediately, running over to Alyssa as the dragons began to snarl in response.
"Alyssa!" He shouted, "Are you alright?!"
As he got close, he was suddenly hit by an invisible pressure that forced him to his stomach.
"Aemon!" Alyssa said, "It is him!"
Aemon widened his eyes, "I...." He said as he looked up, "Of course it is..."
Before them, sitting atop a massive rock that was covered in blood, Drakken looked at them with a serious glare. He was not wearing his helm, but his entire armor was still clad on his body, covered in blood as the scales emitted embers and smoke. His dragon eyes were bright red, piercing through the two of them.
"Drakken....!!" Aemon said, "Y-You did this....?"
Drakken looked at him, not saying a word, which unsettled Aemon.
Alyssa got to one knee and looked at him, "D-Drakken...." She managed, "I-Is the boy alright?"
Drakken lifted his hand and Alyssa was suddenly flung towards him. He caught the Princess with his hand by the throat, clutching it tightly as she widened her eyes in shock.
"Alyssa!!" Aemon shouted, "Leave her be!!"
"N-No...." Alyssa made "I.....you made me a promise....! I.....am yours....!"
Drakken pulled her closer to his face, his eyes filled with anger and rage, "What was mine was taken away." He said, his voice deep and distorted, "What will you do about it?"
Alyssa gasped and clutched his arm, "I....had nothing to do with....that!" She said as tears formed in her eyes, "P-Please....!!"
"Your life....your son's life.....they're in the palm of my hand...." Drakken said seriously, "Do you truly think I will not take them away as punishment?"
"I'd do....anything....!" Alyssa managed
"Let her go!!!" Aemon shouted
"You....belong to me." Drakken said as he clutched her throat, "Your life...your everything...is mine. The time will come when I collect. But for now...."
He let go and caused Alyssa to fall to the ground, causing her to grunt in pain and gasp for air.
"I'm....s-sorry....." Alyssa managed as she looked up, "I did not take part in that scheme....!"
Drakken looked at Aemon, "He did." He said, "For that..."
"He will be punished."
