"What happened?" Drakken asked Saera who was sitting down on the chair
Saera jumped up in surprise as Drakken had teleported back to the Twins without warning. He had a serious look, his red eyes piercing right through the Princess.
Saera looked at him, "M-My Love...." She said, "It all happened so fast...!!"
"What. Happened." Drakken repeated, his voice colder than ice
Saera had tears in her eyes, "D-Daranne.." She said softly, "We were in the Tower....Olyver told us there were enemies attacking his men....and they made their way to that....whatever you call it..."
"The Dark Shade..." Drakken said
"Y-Yes..." Saera gulped, "And he told us to stay in the Tower, since we were safe.....and....suddenly, Daranne got up and ran outside.....towards the Shade...."
"Why?" Drakken took a step closer, "Why did she do that?"
"A-A voice...." She said softly, "She said she heard a voice speak to her....to protect the Shade.....something was speaking to her.....was it not you?"
"Why in the fuck would I tell her to protect the Shade.....when I specifically told ALL of you, to stay the hell away from the Dark Shade?!" Drakken spat, "It was a danger to be near it!! The power of your Marks would be siphoned from you and into it!!!"
"I...I didn't know, My Love..." Saera said softly, "I told her....I told her to stop...I tried stopping her....I really did...."
Drakken reached her and stared down at her, "You know what happened?" He asked, "Whatever those scum were doing, whatever powerful magic they wielded....it detonated on the Foundation, the pivotal part of the Dark Shade, in which the integrity of it would have been compromised and the Shade's power would be dismantled completely...."
"The Man that engulfed himself in flames..." Saera said, "T-The beast.....Daranne called it and the two of them tried to stop it....but it was too late, the explosion....it...."
"It did not harm the Tree...." Drakken said, his eyes glowing with anger, "But the Guardian and Daranne were caught up in the explosion. And what did the Tree do? It took Daranne as she was the one with the purest source of Black Ether, MY Black Ether!!"
"My Love...." Saera said as she gently raised her arms, "I....I really tried, I am so so sorry...."
"She's gone." Drakken said, "Her Mark was deactivated.....she was not immortal....not at that moment....but the Dark Shade took her into the Foundation....and she is sealed now....she's part of it, The Foundation. And.....it worked...."
"What?" Saera said
"The Dark Shade's Error, the problem it had....it was fixed..." Drakken leaned down closer to her, "By absorbing that powerful magic and Daranne....the Dark Shade no longer has that faulty issue.....isn't that crazy? The Error that I overlooked....fixed itself....at the expense of my woman? My Daranne...."
"S-She's gone....?" Saera asked
"I cannot bring her back now...." Drakken said as he slowly raised his hand to Saera's throat, "Ripping her mind and body out of the Foundation will compromise everything I've worked for until this point....."
He grabbed her by the throat as Saera clutched his hand, fear creeping up into her eyes.
"M-My Love...N-No...please...." She begged, "I-It hurts...."
"I told you...." Drakken said with anger, "To NOT go to the Shade...!!!!"
"I-I am so sorry...." Saera sobbed, "I...I am....please...don't hurt me!"
"She's gone." Drakken said as something came out of his eye, "She's gone...!"
Saera widened her eyes, "D-Drakken..." She said softly, "I-Is that....a tear?"
Drakken let go of her throat and stepped back, "What?"
He then wiped the tear that was rolling down his cheek and looked at it, a look of complete shock on his face.
"No." He said firmly, "No..."
Drakken then felt more tears forming in his eyes as he began to realize what he was feeling; sorrow.
"No." He repeated as he looked at his hands, "No, no, no!!!"
He then stabbed his eyes with his fingers, causing them to bleed profusely, taking Saera by surprise.
"My Love!" she said as Drakken stumbled back
"Aghh....!!" He shouted, "NO!!!!"
He then disappeared, leaving Saera alone.

Maegelle was sitting down, taking in the news of what had happened to Daranne, "It cannot be...." She said, "No....Lady Daranne...."
Before she could think of something else, Drakken appeared in her quarters, swinging his hands on the table next to him, sending it flying to the wall.
"NO!!" He shouted, "No, this cannot be!!!"
Maegelle looked at him, "Drakken..." She said, "Drakken, calm down...."
Drakken looked at her, his eyes bloodshot as blood poured down his cheeks, forming blood tears.
"Calm down?" He asked, "C-Calm down?!"
Maegelle gasped, "D-Drakken..." She said softly, "Your eyes...."
"She's gone, Maegelle...." Drakken said, "Daranne is gone...."
"I know....Mya just told me..." Maegelle said, "This is terrible.....I did not know how this could have happened...."
Drakken walked up to her, "Why?" He asked, "Why do I feel like this?"
"What?" Maegelle asked, a look of surprise, "What do you mean?"
"I feel.....a pit...." Drakken said as he placed his hands on her shoulders, "Forming in my stomach.....tears formed in my eyes....Why????"
"Y-You're sad...." Maegelle said softly, "Daranne....she's gone....."
"You don't understand!!" Drakken shouted, anger and pain in his voice, "I am not supposed to feel this way!! So why?! Why.....?!"
He slowly got to his knees as he placed his head on her lap, to which Maegelle gently patted his head with her hands.
"Drakken...." She said, "That...means.....that you cared for her...."
"I...." Drakken clutched her dress, "I am not supposed to feel this way, Maegelle.....You did this to me....."
"You loved her." Maegelle gave him a sad smile, "That is why you feel pain for her loss....."
"You did this...." Drakken said as he closed his eyes, "I should not be this...weak....."
"You are not weak." Maegelle leaned down to him, "You are not weak. Do not think that way."
"I want them all dead." Drakken said, fury in his voice, "Those responsible....I want them all dead...."
"Daranne is part of the Foundation...." Maegelle said, "I understand your pain.....you cannot risk crumbling the Shade by ripping her body and mind out...."
"War...." Drakken said seriously, "This means war..."
"You...." Maegelle said, "I know you would have brought her back on a heartbeat if that were not the case."
"I will rain fire and destruction on anyone who had plotted along with this." Drakken ignored her, "Everyone will fucking die. And they will not get a chance to convert. I will send them to whatever afterlife their religion offers. I will ensure that they feel pain like no other....."
"Drakken...." Maegelle said softly, "You can say it....."
Drakken stayed quiet for a couple of seconds, "I.... " He said softly, "She was mine.....she is mine...."
"I know." She said as she rubbed his back, "I know that...."
"I cared for her..." Drakken said softly,
"I wanted a daughter from her..."
