"House Tully is still under siege?" Maegelle said with a sigh, "That is not something I wanted to hear....but it cannot be helped."
Mya nodded as she read a tome, "The Riverlands is technically an active battlefield." She said, "The Duskguard are constantly patrolling the rivers, the fields, everything."
They were in the dining hall, Maegelle was barely sitting down as she gently patted her stomach, looking at Mya, who was taking notice.
"Hm? I see your bump has barely taken form." She said, "It has been nearly two months?"
Maegelle smiled, "Yes."
"You are fortunate." Mya said, "To bear Our Lord's child is a great honor. You will learn to appreciate the little things in life. When Riktor was born, I did not think I would ever be in this position. Now, my precious boy is training to become a fierce warrior. I hope that your child is beloved by their Father."
"Thank you, Lady Mya." Maegelle said, "I appreciate it."
"When you first joined us, you were very skeptical about the entire thing." Mya said with a smile, "Now, you bed Our Lord whenever he so chooses. You are quite something, Maegelle...."
"I...." Maegelle said, "Well...it is complicated."
"Understatement." Mya chuckled
The door opened and Daranne walked in, a swarm smile on her face, "Good Morrow..." She said, "Where are the boys?"
"I believe their Father is training them." Mya said as she drank some wine from her up, "They were up at first light."
"Oh. So early?" Daranne said as she sat down, "I see..."
Maegelle looked at her, "Lady Daranne, you...." She said with a slight frown, "You are.....I believe you are glowing..."
"Oh, am I?" Daranne said as she placed her hand on her cheeks, "I believe it is because Our Lord gave me special treatment last night."
Mya raised her eyebrow, "Special Treatment?" She asked, "What, did he hold hands while having you?"
"That, and more." Daranne blushed, "It was very romantic."
Maegelle covered her mouth with her hand, "Oh my." She said softly, "I-Is.....Drakken getting....softer?"
"I don't know." Daranne said, "But he made me feel loved."
"He needs to do that with you of all people." Mya chuckled, "He knows that very well."
"Well, he told me he was willing to put another child in me." Daranne told them, "But I said that Mya should get another one before me. And after Maegelle gives birth to hers."
"You did not have to do that." Mya said, "You deserve it. Riktor is enough for me, he is perfect."
"My Sylas is also perfect." Daranne said as she twirled her hair in her finger, "Oh, he's precious...."
Maegelle smiled, "Yes. The both of them are."
"Where is the Princess?" Daranne asked, "I figured she would be here, boasting about how Lord Drakken loves her the most."
"I don't know. Perhaps she is still in bed." Mya said as she looked around, "Have you seen her, Maegelle?"
"No. Not today." Maegelle said with a frown,
"I wonder if she's not causing trouble."
**************
Drakken took a bite out of the dried meat he had, "This thing is not half-bad...." He said as he smacked Riktor with his wooden sword, "Rations for the Duskguard?"
Riktor had stumbled back and rubbed his cheek, "Ah...." He said, "Father...."
"What, just because I am eating, you think you can get me?" Drakken said as he chewed, "Don't be ridiculous, Riktor."
Sylas was standing a few feet away, "Is it my turn?" He asked while holding his wooden spear, "I want to try again!"
"No, I'm not done yet!" Riktor said as he lunged again
He swung his sword, and Drakken casually parried the multiple blows while eating dried meat. He then smacked Riktor right on the head through an opening, causing Riktor to stumble more.
"H-How does this hurt more than when the soldiers do it????" Riktor groaned, "It's so painful!"
"What, do their blows not hurt? Good job, son, you're improving." Drakken said, "Sylas, come on."
Sylas's eyes lit up, "Yes!"
He assumed a stance and lunged at his father, thrusting the spear at him but only for Drakken to parry it and cause the boy to stumble forwards.
Drakken smacked him on his rear, "You need work."
Sylas flinched, "Ah!" he said as he stumbled to the ground, "Aw....."
"No worries, you're a boy." Drakken said as he chewed the piece of meat, "You'll improve."
"I can still go!" Sylas said
Drakken simply stared at him, seeing that Sylas's hair was flowing in the wind. He could not help but see the resemblance to his mother; his golden hair, his soft and gentle face. The only thing that Sylas had from Drakken were his eyes. The boy had sharp red eyes similar to that of his father, save for the dragon slits. Riktor shared his eyes as well, which made Drakken think that all of his children would be the same.
"Alright." Drakken said, "You can-"
He was cut off by the sound of flapping wings and the roar of a dragon.
"Dragon!" a guard shouted, "It's Silverwing! Queen Alysanne is here!"
Drakken rolled his eyes as he looked up, seeing that Silverwing was descending down from the sky and landing on the ground in front of them while snarling and growling.
"What's she doing here?" Drakken said as he gestured at the boys, "Get behind me."
He saw that Alysanne was mounted on her dragon's saddle, looking at the three of them with a serious scowl on her face.
Drakken took a step forward, "Queen Alysanne." He said, "What brings you to an active battlefield?"
"Drakken, I am no fool." She spat, "I know you left the skies to bait someone to come to you. If a dragon is to descend upon Harrenhal, it should be mine. I know you will not be hostile towards me."
"I ought to switch that sentiment..." Drakken muttered
"I am here to see my daughter!" Alysanne said
"Which one?" Drakken tilted his head, "I have two of them now, if you recall. And I must say, Alysanne, I am grateful to you for providing such beauties I can share my bed with."
"Silence!" Alysanne said as she began to dismount her dragon, "I am here to see Maegelle."
"Is this the Crown's response to my declaration of War?" Drakken asked with a smirk, "Quite the bold move."
"Jaehaerys did not approve of this." Alysanne said as she walked up to them, "But I care not. I want to see Maegelle. Saera too, if she is interested in seeing her mother."
"My child is growing healthily inside Maegelle." Drakken said, "My sons are happy to wait for their new sibling. They love Maegelle like their own mother, I'll have you know."
"I do not care." Alysanne said while glancing the boys, "I want to see my daughter."
"Sheesh." Drakken smirked, "So impatient. Is there a problem, Queen?"
"I will not repeat myself." Alysanne said
"Careful." Drakken said, "You're in enemy territory.....don't forget."
"Do you want to become my hostage?"
