[The Blue Fork, The Trident]
Next to the river, several men were finishing off Bracken soldiers as they drove their sword through their chests. Some of them struggled to the point where it took two soldiers to cut their arms off and then their heads.
The sight was brutal, many Bracken soldiers being dismembered as some were lit on fire and hung from the trees. There was no fight when they were caught, just a pure massacre. They were caught off guard and overrun, they never stood a chance.
As their burning bodies dangled from the rope and swayed from side to side, the last remaining son of Lord Bracken was being dragged out from the treeline.
"L-Let go of me!" He managed as he tried to fight back but was punched in the face
The blow threw him into the ground, on the riverbank as he tried to crawl away. Another soldier decided to kick him in the stomach, flipping him to his back.
"Aghh...." He said as he looked to the side
He watched as several of his companions were being decapitated, their heads rolling as their bodies slumped down to the ground. More Brackens were being dragged to the side of the river and forced to their knees as their hands were bound.
"W-What is the meaning of this?!" He exclaimed, "You dare do this to me?! The gods will punish all of you!!"
One of the soldiers pulled him up, "Your gods don't exist." He said as he pushed him towards the river, "Pray to nobody."
As he stood at the edge of the river, the water soaking his legs, he looked to the side to see that around a dozen bracken soldiers were also lined up.
"Are you going to drown us?" He asked, "You will regret this...."
"Your Father and brothers are dead." the soldier said, "I would shut up if I were you."
Then, from the shadows of the treeline, the young lord saw Drakken emerging and making his way towards them. Behind him, he saw that Princess Saera was walking with a slight smirk on her face. The Targaryen woman was looking around and taking in the sight of the massacre, not fazed in the slightest by the smell of burnt flesh.
Drakken reached the edge of the river and looked directly at the young lord, "You didn't make it that far." he said, "I said that you and your men would be hunted down like the filthy dogs you are. And here we are."
The young lord glared at him, "Curse you!!"
Drakken raised his hand to the side, "Give it to me."
As Saera stood next to him, hugging his lowered arm, a soldier walked up to Drakken and handed him the weapon fashioned from the spine of the young lord's brother.
He looked rather disturbed by this, "W-What?"
Drakken showed it to him, turning it so the skull was facing him.
"Do you not recognize your brother?" He asked, a serious look on his face, "Cannot blame you. Fundamentally, all of you humans are the same. Your skeletal system is precisely the same, save for some chinks here and there. But my point is, you are just grains of sand amidst the beach. You are nothing significant."
"You will not get away with this." the young lord said as he spat on the ground, "The King-"
"Will do nothing." Saera cut him off, "My Father has no power. Not over My Love. Do yourself a favor and just die knowing that you will not be avenged. Not by the Crown."
Drakken pointed the spine at the other Bracken soldiers, "And the river will be tainted red."
Suddenly, all of their heads were cut off by Drakken's Cutting Sorcery. Their bodies fell into the water as blood began to pour out of their wounds. The water began to turn a dark shade of red as they floated at the edge.
"N-No..." the young lord said
Then, Drakken stabbed the young lord in the stomach without much of a warning.
"Hm." Drakken said as he swiped the spine to the side
He cut the boy's belly open, blood and guts beginning to spill out as he turned him around and kicked him in the back. The young lord fell into the waters as he began to bleed out, his life slowly leaving him.
"Ohh..." Saera said, "Magnificent...."
Drakken planted the spine in the ground and began to take his coat and shirt off.
"Blood." He said, "I wonder what draws me to it.....yes....that is right.....being conditioned to always play with Blood Sorcery....damned Vampire brothers of mine..."
He handed Saera his coat and shirt, only his bare upper body remained.
Saera blushed slightly, "Oh, Lover...." She said, "I wish for you to take me right here...."
Drakken turned around, "You are focused on the wrong things." He said as he slowly began to walk into the waters, "Blood....to taint a river red, it needs to be filled with a lot of blood..."
Drakken walked into the river, submerging himself into the waters as they began to turn red, due to the blood. Despite having dozens of men's blood, the river was not supposed to turn a dark red. This only happened because the blood's quantity was amplified and multiplied by Drakken's mere presence.
As he was completely under, the entire area's blood began to suck into a single point, flames beginning to erupt on the surface of the river. There was nothing but smoke that reached high into the air as an ominous feeling was felt by all of the soldiers present.
Saera smiled, "Is this...." She said softly, "What they call a ritualistic sacrifice?"
As the flames disappeared and the smoke dissipated, the river's color turned back to normal and Drakken was seen slowly emerging from the waters, his eyes glowing brightly as he had a serious look in his face.
"The river has been cleansed...." He said simply as he stepped out of the waters, his arms turning pitch black as they emitted a strange aura, "Blood.....the source of everything...."
He stood on the riverbank and cracked his neck, his shoulders beginning to bulge out, as if something was trying to get out.
"My Love...." Saera said, "Are you well? Your shoulders...."
Drakken's sclera turned pitch black, and black veins appeared under his eyes, scar-like markings appearing all over his torso as they began to grow orange-red. The ground began to shake as Drakken emitted a strange yet powerful aura.
Drakken opened his mouth, his razor-sharp teeth were displayed as black smoke emitted from inside. From his shoulders, two dragon-like heads erupted, blood spraying out as they let out loud and bone-chilling shrieks.
Saera saw that the heads connected to his shoulders and Drakken's skin around the shoulders turned the same silvery gray color that the heads were. Their eyes were a piercing orange as they looked around, snarling violently.
"What...." Saera said as Drakken slouched down
The Dragon Heads extended and suddenly completely left Drakken's shoulders, revealing themselves to be serpent-like creatures that began to wrap themselves around his body while snarling. Drakken's shoulders healed themselves, and the holes the creatures left closed themselves up.
Drakken leaned back and looked up a the sky as the creatures let out shrieking roars, "So it begins...." He said seriously,
"My Calamity is resonating."
