I laid on the couch sideways, my head resting on Helaena's lap as she caressed my hair.
"I do not understand...." I said softly, feeling numbness on my stomach where I was supposedly stabbed, "It was all a lie...."
I was lying on me left, I had been stabbed on the right side of my stomach. When I woke up, I felt a stinging sensation all throughout my body.
"How much time passed when you were unconscious, Baelon?" Helaena asked, "I was so worried....I could not bear to look at you....your body was convulsing, there was blood everywhere....but I am glad you are alright...."
I looked in front of me, Rhaenyra was sitting in the chair across from the couch, she had a concerned look on her face.
"Baelon...." She said softly, "I....Helaena and I were worried sick....."
I blinked slowly, "It cannot be..." I said softly, "We lived practically for more than a year.....my son was born....I had a daughter too....."
"You say that..." Helaena said, "Is Rhaenyra with child as well?"
"No, I am not." Rhaenyra said while shaking her head
"Daella...." I said softly, "She was my bastard daughter...I....a woman forced several girls to rape me.....and one of them had my daughter....she came to us....scared....alone...Rhaenyra took the girl and named her....."
"I did?" Rhaenyra asked, "Daella....that is the name I wanted to name my second daughter if I ever had one...."
"Raped?" Helaena asked, "Baelon....did this happen in your dream?"
"Dream....?" I asked, "No, it must have happened...I.....it was too real....everything was real....I swear it..."
"The poison mixed with several drug must have created a powerful effect." Rhaenyra said, "The Grand Maester worries for his mind's state....he should be resting..."
"He is resting on my lap." Helaena said with a chuckle, "My Baelon....it appears that the Gods are truly on his side. He is able to survive poison..."
"I...." I said, "It was real..."
It was real.
There is no way it was not real....
I...was all of that a lie?
Everything I had gone through? Rhaenyra and I mending our relationship? Helaena holding me at night, telling me that it was not my fault for having a bastard daughter?
All of that was a lie?
I looked at Rhaenyra, "I....." I started, "I am sorry..."
She looked at me with a pained look on her face, "Baelon...."
"The two of you mended your relationship in that dream, Baelon?" Helaena asked me, "That must have been your mind's desire to reconcile with Rhaenyra. You truly care about her, do you not?"
"I do...." I said
"You will marry her, right?" Helaena asked
"I....." I said, "I married her....and.....we.....became closer....I bedded her months after..."
Rhaenyra looked at me, "Y-You did...?"
"I...." I said as I blinked slowly, "I told her that I loved her.....and before....before all of this happened...I wanted her to give me a son...."
She looked to the side, "It took a dream for you to..." She said softly, "To tell me that you were sorry?"
"I...." I said, "R-Rhaenyra...."
"Shh...." Helaena said with a soothing tone, "Now is not the time for this. Let us focus on the good things...Baelon, was Valerion the name you picked out for our son?"
I nodded slowly, "Yes...."
"A beautiful name." She said as she patted my cheek, "I adore it."
"You do....." I said
"And Daella..." Helaena said, "How about this? The two of you are here, just mend things between each other...and well, Baelon.....after you marry her, put a child inside Rhaenyra. If she gives you a daughter, name her Daella. If it is a boy, well....we will figure out a name...."
"Daella...." I said softly, "I have a daughter......her name is Daella...."
"That was not real, Baelon." Helaena said, "I am sorry, but that is the truth."
I began to sit up, "No..." I said as I felt my body throb, "I cannot accept that..."
"Baelon....." Helaena said as she gently grabbed my hand, "Do not go...."
I pulled away and stood on the ground, feeling the cold and numb floor beneath my bare feet.
"I have to go..." I said as I started limping, "I need some air....."
"Hey." Rhaenyra stood up and got in front of me, "You are in no condition to walk around...."
She gently placed her hands on my chest.
"Back up..." I told her, "I....I cannot be here....I have to....I need air..."
"I understand." She said softly, "But you cannot go outside. Just stay here...you want to stay here...."
I felt Helaena's arms wrapping around my waist, "Stay with us, Baelon." She said softly, "We will make you forget all of this....you need rest..."
"I need....air...." I said as I began to pant and huff, anxiety filling my body, "I cannot be here....."
"Baelon..." Rhaenyra said, "I understand that you were nearly killed...but there is a lot of things we have to deal with.....w-we are to be married....and I know there are doubts in your-"
I cut her off by grabbing her by the chin and pulling her in, kissing her on the lips as I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her closer. She jumped up in surprise as her body pressed herself against mine.
As I kissed her, her body relaxed and she kissed me back, her hand resting on my shoulder as I ran my hand down to her rear, grabbing it firmly.
"Oh?" Helaena said behind me
I stopped kissing her and pulled away, seeing Rhaenyra with her mouth open, a surprised look on her face.
"How is that for doubts?" I said as I let go of her
She licked her lips as she rubbed her chin, "Baelon...."
I pulled away from Helaena, "I need some air...."
"But Baelon..." Helaena started, "You cannot leave, just stay here...."
I needed air.
I needed to think.
I just needed time.
I....I cannot believe that Valerion was not real. That Daella was not real.
This was too much for me to process. I could not accept this.
I slowly limped towards the door and opened it, walking out of her quarters and closing the door behind.
I felt a serious throb in my stomach, where the wound was and I simply patted it.
I let out a sigh as I heard nobody was in the hallway outside of Helaena's chambers.
I looked around, the entire place was empty. Which was strange, there is usually a few guards posted.
"Curses...." i said as the throbbing pain returned, "This...."
"What is this.....?"
