House of The Dragon-The Beauty, The Bold, and The Black Dread: Chapter 155: Burning
🕑 Added 2025-04-14 02:12:08 +0000 UTC(Third Person POV)
There was nothing but chaos caused by the appearance of the Targaryen Princes and their dragons. Vhagar circled around in the sky above Braavos, letting out a roar as Sunfyre and Tessarion returned the roar, flying over pillars of smoke and flames just outside.
While Gael and Erys had gone to meet with Baelon, Varos, and Maegor had mobilized their recently recruited forces to move out of Braavos. Little did they know that the Princes had someone letting them know of their movements.
Prince Aegon and Prince Daeron ambushed the forces that consisted of nearly a thousand men who were quickly leaving Braavos. In this assault, they quickly burned the men, destroying them with ease.
It was unknown how the Princes were able to do something like this so quickly but it became quite clear that Gael and her brothers were taken by surprise, their resources outweighed by the Princes and they were the ones that fell for their trap.
However, Baelon did not anticipate the fact that Erys would use innocent women and babes to shield him from Balerion's flames. He was not surprised by this and simply decided to take him on on foot, dismount him, and kill him where he laid.
While Baelon was going to do this, Aemond rode atop Vhagar, looking to the port of Braavos, waiting to see the ships that were marked by their sources. The Sealord had already rallied a small fleet as a reward to Gael should she actually bed him.
The One-Eyed Prince sat atop his dragon, patiently watching how the fleet reacted. If they mobilized, he would burn them without a second thought. However, considering that Baelon had the heads of the Sealord's closest commanders to his feet, Aemond doubted that the Sealord would retaliate. Nobody took a Dragonlord's threat lightly, especially with four dragons right in front of them.
The Iron Bank have also considered their dealings with Gael and the other dragonseeds and simply shut their doors, giving a message to the sources that the Princess have, saying that they have nothing to do with the Dragonseeds.
This was abrupt, out of nowhere, and completely shocking to someone like Gael. She did not consider this a possibility in her planning and was taken by surprise, riding her horse straight inside to the city and regroup with her brother Maegor.
While she did that, Baelon attacked Erys where they met each other.
The horses that had the women atop them were scattering in panic as Balerion let out a deep growling all while Baelon charged Erys, who had drawn his sword on him.
"You son of a bitch!" Erys exclaimed as he swung his sword down at him
"Watch your tone." Baelon parried the blade and countered with his own, nearly hitting Erys in the arm
Balerion slammed his wing hard on the ground, causing Erys's steed to stand on its hind legs and throw him off into the ground.
"Aghh!!!" Erys exclaimed in pain, "Shit...!!"
Baelon stood over him and pointed his sword at him, all while the women that were used had been scattered, their horses running away in fear from Balerion.
"Get up." Baelon said seriously, "We fight. Fairly."
Erys stood up and lunged at Baelon without wasting a moment, "You fucking swine!!!"
Baelon blocked his blade with ease and pushed him off, following up with a shoulder tackle which pushed Erys away hard.
"Hm...." Baelon said as he straightened up and deflected Erys's blade which was swung at him fiercely, "Swine, huh?"
"You got lucky, Baelon!!" Erys exclaimed, "I could have killed you while you laid in that couch, chained up while my sister raped you!! Because of her, you still breathe!!"
Baelon swiftly dodged his blades and countered with a quick swing, cutting Erys in the shoulder, "Oh, I know." He said, "And that is the worst mistake she could ever made. Because of that decision to defile me rather than kill me, she will lose the only thing in the world that can keep her safe; her family."
"Guuhh!!" Erys grunted as he stumbled, "Y-You...."
Baelon spun around and swung Blackfyre down at his thigh, cutting him and causing him to get on his knees.
"Enough talk." Baelon said, "That is all I have to say to you."
Erys thrust his sword up at him, trying to get up but Baelon was able to parry it with ease, kicking him in the chest.
Erys hit the ground hard, his entire body trembling in anxiety and filled with adrenaline. He knew very well what this meant; this was life or death. There was nothing he could do but fight back. If he could even manage to kill Baelon Targaryen, somehow, it did not matter if he was devoured by Balerion.
Even if he dies, Balerion would be riderless and would allow Gael to progress their plan. It did not matter how many men they lost that day, they could always get more. As long as Gael lives and the allure of a Targaryen woman is there, men will rally to their cause at all times.
He stood up and limped to the side as Baelon circled around him, Balerion lowering his head and watching this quick duel unfold.
Erys huffed and panted, feeling the pain of his wounds resonate throughout his body. He then lunged at Baelon and swung his sword at him only for it to be parried hard by Baelon.
Baelon then plunged his blade into Erys's throat in a fast motion, a quick thrust that came out of Erys's blind spot.
Erys widened his eyes and coughed up blood, "G-Guhh....." He managed as he dropped his blade
He saw Baelon's serious and cold eyes through the slits of his helm.
"Hm." Baelon simply said as Erys collapsed to his knees, "You were nothing to me."
Baelon then swung Blackfyre outwards, cutting through his neck with ease as blood sprayed out, killing Erys.
As the body fell dead to the ground, Baelon merely stood over it, a vicious glare in his eyes.
"A thousand of these deaths is never enough for scum like you...." Baelon said angrily,
"I hope you burn in the Seven Hells for all eternity."

"To think that the Braavosi will help us round up survivors of these fuckers." Aegon said as he stood underneath Sunfyre, "How convenient."
"Agreed...." Aemond said, "The Sealord did not want to risk anything...not with our dragons outside...."
They were just outside the city, some Braavosi soldiers were rounding up many of Gael's men that had survived the onslaught. After the sudden assault, The Sealord had sent men to aid the Princes, clearly taking the message sent by Baelon.
"I do not think he will appreciate killing his commanders." Daeron said as Tessarion grumbled behind him, "He could try something."
"Nah." Aegon said while he crossed his arms, "We will teach him a lesson if he does."
"I am surprised that Uncle is not here." Aemond said as Baelon approached them, "He would have gone crazy...."
"Maybe that is why Baelon had him stay in King's Landing." Aegon said, "To keep the place safe, just in case....and well, he did not want things to get too out of hand here..."
"Yea...." Daeron said
Baelon reached them, the sound of Balerion and Vhagar roaring was heard in the distance. He had Erys's decapitated head in one hand, his helm in another.
"Brother, it appears you were able to dispatch one of them." Aemond said
Aegon scowled, "Is that the fucker that was there?" He said, "The one who was beating those girls and forced them on you?!"
Baelon tossed the head on the ground, "Yes." He said, "The others?"
Aegon spat on Erys's lifeless head, "Stupid scum, serves you right."
"I could not find this Gael woman." Aemond said, "She must have slipped away, unfortunately....."
"We need to find her." Baelon said seriously, "She claims she has my son."
Daeron widened his eyes, "S-Son?"
"My bastard son...." Baelon said, "Allegedly.... I need to see him closely, however....to confirm if he is mine. She named him Baelon."
Aegon scowled even more, "That bitch..." He said, "She rapes you and names her son after you?! That fucking whore!!"
"Calm down, Aegon." Aemond said
"How can I fucking calm down?!" Aegon shouted, "Do you not understand this lunacy?!"
"Take it easy, brother." Baelon calmly said, "I am over it. I just want to know if he is truly my son."
"What will you do if it is, Baelon?" Daeron asked
"I do not know, possibly take him in or something...." Baelon said, "If I can take him away from her, I do not need to worry about them again. He is used as leverage against us, if he is mine....and I could do the same to her...."
"A hostage...." Aemond said, "This is not like you...."
"I do not care what this is like." Baelon said, "I want justice for what was done to me.....but that is besides the point. They want to claim our dragons, for the sake of peace....we should stop them. By taking Small Baelon from her, we will keep that woman and her blood from doing anything of the sort. Find Ada Waters and her brothers, it is time we tie up those loose ends...."
"What are you going to do with them?" Daeron asked
"I will rip that bastard boy from Ada's arms and send him North, to the Wall." Baelon said, "There, he could ward with the Night's Watch. Lord Stark will ensure nobody touches them. As for her and her brothers, I gave them an opportunity....it appears they wish to be either imprisoned or killed....that is what they get for spitting in our faces...."
"Rhaenys might not approve...." Aemond said, "They are Corlys's blood."
"Fuck Corlys." Baelon said, "He tried to kill me, remember? Enough of this....."
"We have a job to do."
