[Fleabottom]
The Goldcloak kicked the man who slept on a worn bed set up in the floor, "Wake the fuck up." He said as the man jumped up
"Ah!" He shouted as he looked up, "What the bloody hells...?"
He saw that there were three Goldcloaks staring down at him with serious looks on their faces, their hands on the handles of their swords.
He wiped moved his dirty white hair out if his face, "Fellas...." He said, "I wonder what this could be."
"Come with us." one of them said, "You have a visitor in the next room."
"A man cannot have some sleep in this city, it seems." the Man said
The Goldcloaks reached for him and pulled him up with tremendous force, surprising him completely as they tossed him forwards.
"Hey!" He shouted as he stumbled, "Take it easy!"
They pushed him into the next room, causing him to fall down onto the floor and scrambling on his knees.
"Bloody hells..." He said, "You lot got shit in your breakfast?"
He then heard someone clear their throat as he slowly stood up.
He looked over to see Baelon Targaryen sitting on a chair with Daemon leaning against the wall behind him. Both of them were giving him serious looks, their arms crossed.
"Oh fuck..." The man said muttered
Baelon pointed at the chair that was across the table where he sat in, "Sit."
The man nodded and gulped, "Right...." He said as he slowly walked over and sat down, "T-The Princes....huh?"
The Goldcloaks stood menacingly behind the man as he awkwardly sat there, looking around the room.
"Ulf, right?" Baelon said as he looked at him, "Or am I mistaken?"
"Well..." Ulf said, "You are correct, My Prince."
"Of course I am." Baelon said seriously, "My information is never wrong, you see."
Ulf nodded, "W-What can I help you with? Did I do something wrong?"
"That depends." Baelon said
"O-On what?" Ulf said as he looked at him
Baelon glanced at Daemon, "You have reacted quite awkwardly to my Uncle here, causing some action here recently." He said as he looked back at Ulf, "The Rogue Prince was turning every street upside down to find any traces of a Dragonseed."
Ulf nodded, "Well..." He said, "I did not want to get in trouble you see...."
Baelon nodded, "Right....."
"I mean...." Ulf gulped, "D-Dragonseed, eh? Haha...why would you.....why would I.....?"
"Everyone must be aware of what happened in the past year, Ulf." Baelon started, "Not too long ago, the Traitor of Claw Isle demanded a Trial by Seven that my Uncle and I partook in. And among those who sided with him, there were self-proclaimed Dragonseeds. At the time, we did not know if they spoke the truth but since then, we have confirmed that they have. The three that I killed were related to a certain individual....someone dare I say....rather important....."
Ulf nodded slowly, "R-Right...."
"And well, there were more....as you may be aware of by now...." Baelon said, "There are more Dragonseeds across the Narrow Sea with a surprising amount of influence and power, one that could very well.....cause some issues.....and it has come to my attention that those Dragonseeds in particular have been searching for others.....among them being the Late Lord Corlys's bastards....and well, others that have been living under our noses this entire time. They have reached out and have influenced them completely it seems....."
"I-Is that so?" Ulf said nervously, "Well...."
"So tell me, Ulf." Baelon gave him a serious stare, "Are you one of them? Did they reach out to you and influence you completely?"
"N-Now, why would I be involved with Dragonseeds?" Ulf said with a nervous chuckle, "I am just a drunk and thief here in King's Landing. I do not have anything to do-"
"Shut your mouth." Daemon spoke up, "We know you are a Bastard. Whose son are you?"
Ulf straightened up and gulped, "W-Well, I mean...." He said, "I do not think it is appropriate that I would-"
"Say it!" Daemon said
"B-Baelon, The Brave...!" Ulf said suddenly
Daemon's eyes widened and he took a step forward, "You fucking lie!" He said as he placed his hand on his sword's handle, "You lie!!"
"Uncle." Baelon said seriously, prompting Daemon to stop, "Take it easy."
Daemon glared at Ulf, "My Father sired no bastards." He said, "He would never do that to my late mother..."
"It is hard to believe...." Ulf said, "But.....it is true...."
Baelon narrowed his eyes, "You expect us to believe you are my Uncle?" He said, "That you are the King's brother? That you are Daemon's brother?"
"He does not even look like him." Daemon spat
"To be fair, neither do you...." Baelon said, "According to Father, that is."
Daemon scowled, "This is no times for jests, Baelon!"
Baelon cleared his throat, "Right..." I said, "What is the name of the other one, the other bastard? The smith."
Ulf looked at him with surprise, "H-Him?" He said, "Why do you want to know?"
"He left the city." Daemon said, "We need to know what his deal is. And why did you not leave?"
"Well...." Ulf said, "I do not really know him personally....but his name is Hugh."
"Hugh....." Baelon said, "That smith?"
"You know him?" Daemon asked him
"I once commissioned him for some metal hooks for Balerion's saddle." Baelon said, "Our smiths were too busy with whatever they were making for you and Aegon and I had heard he was quite decent at metalworking."
"And?" Daemon said
"What, he made them for me and that was it." Baelon said as he looked at Ulf, "Let us say you are speaking the truth. You are my Uncle. Why did you not leave to join the Dragonseeds?"
"What? Why should I?" Ulf said, "I do not know them."
"Tch...." Daemon said, "I do not think he is speaking the truth, Baelon. There is no way he is my father's bastard."
"I am just saying...." Ulf said, "P-Prince Baelon is not the only one with a bastard that arose from an unwanted situation....."
Baelon narrowed his eyes, "What did you say?"
Ulf sighed, "I do not know the full details of my conception...." He said, "I was born and raised here in Fleabottom....I did not know my own mother but the women who raised me claimed that she was a maid that worked in the Red Keep.....and one night, she had snuck into Baelon's quarters, drugged him, and made him think that.....his wife was....well, alive.....this was clearly after Alyssa Targaryen's death..."
"Don't you say her name." Daemon spat, "That is a clear lie!"
"I do not know if it is or not!" Ulf said, "But that is what I was told when I came of age! And I have no reason to go against any of you! I just want to live my life normally, as shitty as it is.....what, do you truly expect me to desire to claim a dragon and wage war against the Targaryens???? Against, Baelon Targaryen, Rider of Balerion???? I am an idiot, but I am not Mad!"
Baelon sighed, "This....makes no sense....but it makes plenty of it at the same time..." He said, "What that other one said, Daron, that he is the son of Archmaester Vaegon....."
"What?" Daemon said, "You mean that he was also drugged and seduced??"
"Maybe...." Baelon said, "Or raped, like myself."
"I-I heard about that...." Ulf said, "Do you think I wanted to involve myself with people who did that?? Whatever they are, they clearly want the blood of the dragons.....and I was not going to be a part of that..."
"How noble of you." Baelon said as he stood up, "You are going to be under our watch, to make sure you are telling the truth. Do not think of yourself as a prisoner but you will be placed in the City Watch's barracks. Daemon will make sure no Goldcloak will harm you.....well, unless you try something.....but they will not kill you...."
"W-What?" Ulf said
"Food...water....wine...." Baelon looked at him, "You will receive that. And somewhat clean clothes as well...."
"This is not over." Daemon said with a scowl
"We will see each other again." Baelon said as he began to walk away,
"Ensure that you do not try something stupid by then."
