(Third Person POV)
Corlys Velaryon opened his eyes and sat up, gasping for air as he felt the cold breeze hit his face, "Ahh...!" He let out as he looked around frantically, trying to make out where he was, "W-What in the hells....."
He had lost all sense of time, he was not sure how long he had been asleep for. The last thing he remembers is that he was in the Red Keep, trying his best to court Daella Targaryen again. Saera had been walking behind the two, insulting Corlys and telling him that she would use her husband to kill him should he not leave Daella alone for her to torment.
After that, Corlys Velaryon does not remember much about what had happened.
"I....." He said as he stood up
He was in a beach, a cold one, he could feel the cold wind come in from the sea. In the distance, he saw nothing but the icy fog atop the ocean.
He turned to see what looked like pillars of smoke and flames in the distance, the faint sound of screams of fear and agony filled the air.
"What is going on?" He frowned
"Ah, you're awake." a voice said
He turned to see Drakken sitting down on what looked like a massive severed piece of flesh, a knife in his hand, using it like a toothpick.
"Y-You!" Corlys exclaimed as he stood there, "What did you do?! Where am I?!"
"I thought you sailed the world, young lord." Drakken said as he spat on the ground, "This is Lorath, northern Essos."
"W-What?!" He exclaimed, "Why would you bring me here?!"
"No reason." Drakken shrugged, "Well, one reason; to fuck with you."
Corlys looked at the flesh that Drakken sat on, "W-what is that?"
"This?" Drakken looked down at it, "Oh, this is just a piece of Leviathan. You see, I was intrigued by those creatures...apparently, they were immense beasts and I'll have say....they really are massive. So I killed one to see if its meat tasted good..."
"A leviathan....?" Corlys said
"Yea, they are larger than dragons. Overgrown whales, basically." Drakken said as he jumped down, "But oh well, what can you do about it?"
Corlys stepped back, "What do you want?"
"From you?" Drakken said, "Nothing."
"Then why did you bring me-" Corlys started
"I don't like you." Drakken cut him off, "I think of you as entitled and conceited. I mean come on....the girls are not interested in you, back the fuck off."
"What?" Corlys raised his eyebrow
"Do you seriously think I will simply allow you to go and attempt to court that pure stock of Targaryen blood?" Drakken said with a menacing look on his face, "The way you're so persistent....it is obnoxious. So I will do everyone a favor and will eliminate you."
"You're going to kill me?!" Corlys said as he stepped back
"No." Drakken said as he chuckled, "I will do something much more fun. You hear those screams?"
Corlys turned to see where the flames and smoke were, "What....?"
"There's a village there, I destroyed it." Drakken told him, "I killed most of them and the rest are being burned alive, constantly healing and burning again...quite agonizing."
"Why would you...." Corlys said
Drakken extended his arm and used his telekinesis to fling Corlys to him, catching him by the throat, "Because I like it." He said with a smirk, "It fills my heart with joy to create ruin and destruction...but in this case, I will find it absolutely hilarious to do this..."
Corlys gasped for air as he choke, "L-Leave me be...!!!"
Drakken then lowered him down and with his free hand, he poked his index finger on Corlys's forehead. A strange purple glow appeared from his fingertip as Corlys's forehead began to sizzle, his entire body convulsing violently as his eyes went white.
"Hm...." Drakken said as he let go of him and caused him to collapse, "From now on, you are cursed with madness...which will not be quelled unless you murder and kill and create chaos."
"A-Aghhh!!!" Corlys let out
"You will raid the coasts of Essos..." Drakken smirked, "In the name of House Velaryon, you will be an agent of destruction and chaos....your name will be tarnished, you will be viewed as a malicious villain who kills, rapes, and destroys. Who knows how your fellow Valyrians will react to that...."
"Good fortune to you."
**************
[Harrenhal....back to the Present....]
"Lord Drakken...." Maegelle said as she entered Drakken's chambers, "I heard that you have completed another project."
Drakken was sitting down in a chair, reading a book, "Oh?" He said as he looked up, "Who told you that?"
"L-Lady Mya did." Maegelle said
Drakken closed the book with one hand, "Of course that woman did...." He muttered, "Yes, I did.....what of it?"
"I...." Maegelle said, "I am intrigued to know what it is."
"Which one?" Drakken said with a slight smirk, "Do you wish to see the Storm God or the Dark Shade?"
"Shade?" She said with confusion, "Is that another of the beasts?"
"No." Drakken said as he stood up, "Come, my sweet darling Maegelle...I will show you the Beast."
Drakken walked up to her and grabbed her hand, pulling her along with him as he walked.
After several minutes, Drakken entered the sub-basement level of Harrenhal where he works on his experiments. Maegelle was never allowed to be in there so her seeing the massive stone walls that were littered with tools and weapons was a bit of a shock to her.
"W-What...." She said as Drakken held her hand
"This here is where all the magic happens." Drakken said, "Balerion's blood was used here.....and somewhere else.....firstly, I wish for you to see what I've done."
"I...." Maegelle said
They reached the center of the massive room, where a black skull sat on a table. Maegelle was rather unnerved by this and immediately regretted asking to see anything related to Drakken's "Projects."
"Balerion's blood is potent, pure draconic power." Drakken started as he reached the table and picked the skull up, "Not too long ago, I obtained a power that was capable of progressing my plans and enhancing the Trinity. I just needed a boost and the necessary sacrifices. I obtained Balerion's blood, replicated and enhanced it, and used it to create the Dark Shade. I will show you that soon....."
"So that is why you asked for his blood...." Maegelle said, "My Lord....were you going to allow me to visit my family if my Mother refused?"
"She was not going to refuse. she loves you too much." Drakken told her as he held the skull
Maegelle was about to speak when a voice called out for her
"H-H-Help me...." it said
She turned to see the Singer hunched over a chair, his arms propped up by the hooked chains. His entire body was covered in dried blood and his eyes were swollen.
Maegelle widened her eyes and ran over to him, "W-What is the meaning of this, Drakken?!" She ecxlaimed
"I wouldn't touch him if I were you." Drakken said with a chuckle
Maegelle was crouched in front of the Singer and looked back at him with a scowl, "Have you been torturing this man the entire time?! Under my nose!?" She exclaimed, "Why would you do something like that?!"
Drakken approached him, "Because I can." He said as he stood behind him and grabbed him by the back of his head, "This one possesses the power to harness the Storm....it was necessary."
"Must men bleed for you to achieve your goals?!" Maegelle exclaimed
"Yes.' Drakken said as he clutched the Singer's head, a black and white flame-like aura appearing from his hand, "Now, quietly watch."
Maegelle straightened up and backed away as she saw the aura being siphoned from the man's head and float towards the black skull. After a few seconds, the skull's eyeholes began to glow brightly with a dark blue and it began to give off a strange hum.
"There you go....." Drakken said with a smirk
"W-what did you do?" She asked
"I transferred his conscious to the Dark Shade....or a specific portion of it." Drakken told her, "My Storm God requires a constant and perpetual source of power.....so it can be what it is meant to be."
Maegelle then noticed that behind Drakken, there was a massive crystal wall that was quite opaque. But after the skull's eyes lit up, there was a massive glow emitted from within the crystal. She then saw a massive serpentine shadow inside it, hearing a deep hum as electricity began to crackle from the wall.
"I-Is that...." Maegelle said with a shocked expression
Drakken nodded, "Yes." He said, "It is not mature enough to be in the skies yet. Soon, I will release it into the Stormlands and give that region a reason to be called that."
"What is the purpose of these creatures?" Maegelle asked
"The Guardian's new purpose is to guard the Dark Shade, I will take you there tomorrow." Drakken said, "Lyssa's purpose is to make me gold, lots of it. This one's purpose is to create cataclysms when the time requires it. Storms powerful enough to have the people doubt your Father. And well....that one....is meant to destroy everything."
Drakken gestured to the side, over to another crystal wall where Maegelle saw the massive head of a dragon with curved horns. She noticed that this dragon head was almost the same size as that of Balerion's. It was quite surprising to her, however, seeing that the dragon's head was severed.
She wondered where the rest of its body was.
"Lord Drakken....you really plan on causing a War that will destroy everything?" Maegelle asked
"From the ashes, a new beginning will start. One where you and our children will prosper. Or at least, that is one of the plans." Drakken said, "I told Mya and, well you....that Grayle here is meant to destroy everything.....but that is not exactly true....both he and Talis are the fated duo. When I bring both of them forth, everything will be truly gone...."
Maegelle felt drawn to where Grayle's head was, she walked over to the edge of the crystal wall.
"There....." She said, "You are willing to kill so many for....for your vision of peace? And our children?"
"Riktor and his siblings." Drakken said, "I consider them your children as well....you are to be my consort, my sweet Maegelle..."
"I...." She said softly, "I do not agree with this...."
"You do not have to." Drakken said, "It is inevitable. Grayle and Talis are. When they set to the skies, not even a hundred Balerions are capable of defeating them."
Maegelle looked up at the head, saying nothing.
She could not believe that all of this was happening just under her nose. She felt ashamed to be even near such atrocities. There was so much to Drakken that she did not know nor understand.
She was going to say something when the Grayle's eye opened, menacingly glaring right at her.
"Ah!' Maegelle cried out as she stepped back in haste
Grayle's eye pierced right through Maegelle, full of rage and hatred. She could immediately tell that she was fortunate that it was just a mere head inside a crystal wall.
"Ha!" Drakken said as he walked over, "Yea, he is quite the scary one, isn't he?"
"He's been yearning to destroy."
