"My Lord....!" Maegelle called for me as I stood on the balcony, "It is happening!"
I turned around and raised my eyebrow, "What is?"
"L-Lady Mya!" She said, "She is in her labors!"
"Oh." I said as I turned back around, "Alright."
I felt that she walked up to me, "T-That is it?" She asked, "Y-You don't want to go see her?"
"What use would I be?" I said as I looked at the horizon, "Our people are the best this world can offer, the child will be delivered safely. There is no need to worry, Mya will also be alright."
"I....." She said, "V-Very well...."
"Come." I told her
I heard her footsteps as she walked to my side. I looked at her, she was wearing a silver and blue dress, her hair was combed straight as she wore some silver earrings with sapphires on them. She looked rather pretty if I am being honest.
"What is it, My Lord?" Maegelle asked
"You are young." I told her, "Yet, you are brighter than I take you credit for. What do you see when you look out there?"
She looked over at the horizon which consisted of nothing but forest, in the distance, some rivers were visible.
"I see the Riverlands...." She said softly
"Hm....Do you know what I see?" I asked
"What?" She said
"Nothing." I said with a frown, "I see nothing. I don't care much for this place. The castle is nice, I repaired it good enough for it to be a formidable stronghold but all of this is nothing to me..."
"I see." She said, "Perhaps you are already used to more impressive things in your world."
"That's not it." I said, "When you and I first met, you've spoken to me like I was beneath you. Like I was nothing but just someone who claimed to be what I wasn't....."
"I...." She started
"That started a War." I continued, "A War...over Nothing.....It is true that I benefitted a great deal from it but at the end of the day, it was nothing. All of this....it is nothing...."
"No matter how much I try to, i cannot understand you sometimes." She said, "You are unpredictable...but..."
"But?" I raised an eyebrow
"There is something underneath all of that...." She said seriously, "I can feel it."
"Ho?" I said
"Mayhaps you are a God...." She said, "But you are not one that my people would want."
"Hm..." I said with a slight smirk, "So you've come to accept me?"
"My Faith has not wavered, My Lord." She said softly
"I can tell." I said with a chuckle, "Your Sister. You spent time with her when she came here."
"Y-Yes..." She said, "My Mother was shaken up....may I ask what you told her?"
"Nothing, really." I told her
"I see..." She said, "Saera was a bit shocked by your presence. I said to her that it is something to grow accustomed to...."
"Is that so?" I said, "Tell me, Maegelle....when you look at the Riverlands....outside...what is it you truly see?"
She blinked and looked back outside, taking a few seconds to process the question.
"O-Oh...." She said before looking at me, "The Realm...."
"That is right." I said, "The Realm....which belongs to your Father....whom I decided to constantly torment."
"Is that what you do normally? You torment and terrorize those who antagonize you once?" Maegelle asked me, "I....why would you do that?"
"You would not understand...." I said
"I want to." She told me as she looked at me with a serious look, "There is so much behind those eyes, behind that emptiness that I claim that I see....I just don't understand it...."
I smiled, "Mayhaps you will never understand." I said, "I have grown fond of you, Maegelle Targaryen..."
I ran my hand through her hair, which had a nice and smooth texture. She didn't react much to it, not even a flinch.
"Mayhaps I have changed...." She said, "You forced me to stop praying to my gods....You...."
"I didn't force you." I said, "You did that by yourself. Because you are learning...you have witnessed what I am capable of. Those who follow the Trinity and have fully converted have been thriving. My people are happy......and perhaps you are too....if not, you will be....at some point."
She looked down, "I don't feel like a prisoner, that is something."
"You aren't." I told her as I patted her cheek, "When will you understand that?"
She looked at me, "I...."
I smiled, "When you are ready...." I said, "You know what we'll do?"
"W-What?" She said
I leaned down, "We will create something good....something precious.....and beautiful..." I told her, "I see it....our Future....War....Death....Chaos.....all of the ugly will happen just so the beautiful to flourish right after...."
"Is that what you want to do? You....you want to....." She started, "You want to create something with me? What?"
"We'll change the way the world is." I told her, "What comes with War? Conquest? What comes with that? Death. All of that is exactly what I am......With War.....comes Chaos....and I am just that. The thing is.....when I achieve what I am doing.....nothing will challenge me...when I return to true power....everything in this world will be bent to my will....but.....there are times where I don't care for it."
"What is it tha-" She started
I placed my finger on her lips, "Grayle and Talis." I told her with a smirk, "That is all you'll know....."
***********
"My Lord..." one of the nurses said, "It is a boy...."
I walked up to the bed where Mya laid, panting heavily as a baby cried in the nurse's arm.
"P-Please...." Mya called out, "I want to hold him....my son....."
The nurse looked at me, "My Lord?"
I nodded, "She is the mother." I told her, "Give him to her."
The nurse walked over to Mya and handed the baby to her as Mya immediately grabbed him, tears in her eyes as she smiled.
"Oh....my beloved child...." She said softly
I walked over and saw that the baby immediately calmed down, his head had black hair, which was not surprising.
"Are you happy?" I asked Mya
Mya looked at me, "Y-Yes, My Lord..." She said, "I am overjoyed...you have no idea...."
"Good." I said as I looked at the boy, "He is your son...."
"Our Son...." She said as she sniffed, "Don't forget that."
"Yes..." I said as my eyes laid on the baby, "Ours...."
"I have thought of a name...." She said, "If I can name him...."
"I don't see why not." I told her, "What is it?"
"Riktor...." She said softly, "Riktor Drakkengard."
I looked at her with surprise, "Riktor?"
"You always speak fondly of your friend....your brother...." She said as she looked at me, "Riktor.....so....I suppose It would be appropriate.....to name my son after someone so important to you......"
A smirk appeared on my face, not under my control. The mere thought of Riktor made me smirk, I could not know why. It has been too long since I've seen that imbecile's face, even longer since his brother has constantly berated and scolded us.
"Riktor...." I said, "Very well...."
"He is Lord Riktor Drakkengard."
