"Mya...." I said as I walked inside the room, "Are you busy?"
She was sitting down in her bed, her hand on her stomach with a slight smile on her face, "No, My Lord." She said as she looked up, "What is it?"
I walked up to her, "Is something the matter?" I asked curiously
She shook her head, "No, My Lord." She said, "Why?"
I looked at her, "You're....." I started, "You're holding your stomach."
She chuckled, "I am merely happy...." She said, "Happy that I am with child....with your child..."
"Oh." I said, "Is that so?"
"The land where you are from....you did not leave any children?" She asked me
I shook my head, "Not really." I said, "Why do you ask?"
"That makes sense." She said, "You did not know how to react to my news. I figured that you were not a father despite being a God....but even if you were, you did not have to be present for them.....well.....Forgive me, actually, I am speaking out of line."
I walked up to the bed and sat down next to her, "It is fine." I said as I looked down at her stomach, "How do you feel?"
"Fine." She said, "Like I've said, I am happy."
"Happy, hm?" I said
She looked at me, "Is this your first child?" she asked, "I suppose it is. It makes me incredibly happy, more than you can imagine."
I blinked, "Well...." I said, "I am glad that you are happy."
"Are you not?" She asked
"I don't know how to feel." I said, "You are right, I am not a Father, this is my first child. It is right, however....to have an heir for the House. I trust that you will care for the child. I told Maegelle that she will aid....in case you have to continue your own duties."
She nodded, "I understand."
I placed my hands on my lap, "It is surreal." I said, "I have done many unimaginable things in my life yet none of them have prepared me for this. I wonder if this is how all men feel like; so.....nervous..."
She grabbed my hand gently, "Most..." She said, "It is a wonderful feeling, I am told. My Father had sons, legitimately....and when she found out my mother, his mistress was with child....he was a bit nervous.....he wondered if he had to deal with another son when he wanted a daughter....and when I was born, he was overjoyed....the issues that came after, he dealt with them...."
I looked at her, "Is that so?"
She nodded, "Whatever issues that come....you will deal with them..." She said softly, "I know I am your Mistress....but you have no idea how happy it makes me to have a name.....an actual name.....and the hope that my child will inherit that name makes me feel like I am the most fortunate soul ever...."
"My child is my heir....they will have your name." I said seriously
She smiled as tears formed in her eyes, "I am a bastard, Lord Drakken..." She said, "A bastard that came so far.....I am happy.....I am glad that despite my child also being one...they will not be seen as one."
"Our child will not be a bastard." I said seriously
"No, your child with Maegelle will not be." She said, "But ours.....well-"
"Enough." I cut her off as I leaned closer to her, "Enough of that, Mya. You have done so well. Now, I want you to do one thing; take care of yourself. I do not want the Mother of my first child to have complications so soon...."
"Very well, if you command it...." she said softly
I looked at her lips, they were alluring, begging for me. I raised my hand and gently rubbed my thumb against them, seeing how she reacted to it.
She closed her eyes as she leaned closer to me, "My Lord..." She said, "Is it so wrong to feel love....? For you....?"
"No." I said simply,
"It is not wrong."
****************
"Why are we here?" I asked Mya as she was crouched down, picking flowers, "This is quite the surprising place for flowers to grow."
We were in a small clearing in the forest, where flowers grew all over. There were so many different flowers and their scent were pungent, so much so that my nose immediately scrunched in reaction.
"I personally saw it to that flowers grew here." She said, "I enjoy doing that.....growing flowers...."
I looked at her, she was wearing a simple black dress, her black hair let loose and flowing in the breeze of the wind that caused all of the flowers to sway to the side. There was something about her, an unusual glow from her pearly white skin.
I didn't know what it was about her, but there was something that called to me.....the last couple of days I have been seeing her in a different light.
It was strange.
Up until that point, I saw her as a woman I can use to relieve my sexual desires. She always called me to her bed and I answered because I could. But now, it was different.
Mya was the first follower I had so I was indeed fond of her, the way she became devoted to me, despite having Stockholm syndrome. But right now, she seemed so....ethereal.....
For some reason, it reminded me of Athena....
"You planted them....?" I said, "All the way out here? You could have asked, I would have prepared a plot over at Harrenhal."
"I like coming here....." She said as she straightened up, holding a basket that was full of flowers, "It is quiet and serene. Perfect to find peace and quiet....do you hear that? The sound of the wind whistling through the trees....the chirping of birds, the distant call of nature that is everywhere...."
I looked to my side, focusing my senses on what she just said, "Somewhat...."
"Perhaps it is because I am a Greenseer....." She said as she walked up to me, "I am more attuned to Nature......It....it eases me...."
I nodded, "I bet it does."
She picked out a flower from the basket, chose a pink tulip, and handed it to me.
I took it, "What is this?"
She smiled, "It is said that the pink tulip represents good wishes and confidence." She said softly, "It is a way to congratulate someone...."
"Oh." I said as I looked at the flower, "Is that so?"
"Congratulations, Lord Drakken." She said as she patted my cheek, "You are to be a Father...."
"I see." I said, "The language of flowers....red means perfect love, why did you not give me that?"
"Our love is not that." She said, "You do.....love me, right? Like I love you....?"
"Hm....." I said, "I am fond of you..."
She nodded, "I figured...." She said, "I swear to you....that I will bear your child well.....I wish it is a son.....so he can inherit your armies.....and lead them against your enemies...."
"Your son will conquer everything for you."
