[A Few Months Later....]
"Baelon....." she said, "Take it easy..."
"I cannot help it love...." I said as I kissed her neck, "It has been a week, I need to feel your warmth."
I held from behind, patting her belly as embraced her. I needed to be this close to her, I needed to feel her body against mine. I could not stand it, I wanted her so badly.
"Mmm...." She said with a chuckle, "My love...I am not going anywhere...."
I kissed her cheek, "I know..."
"It is difficult for me, I apologize." She told me, "I get tired.....I get moody.....I get the urges but they immediately go away....."
"I do not mind." I said as I kissed her on the lips briefly, "I can handle it..."
I ran my hand up to her chest and gently fondled her as I kissed her briefly again.
"N-Not tonight, love...." She said softly, "I am tired.....the big blanket took longer than usual.....I am sorry..."
"So many blankets, Helaena..." I said, "For one child...."
"A Prince." She said with a chuckle, "My apologies, my love. I need to rest tonight..."
I sighed, "Very well."
She leaned in and kissed my cheek, "Do not be angry."
"I am not." I said as she stood up from the couch and walked over to her bed, "Just a little disappointed..."
"I know, my love." She said, "But not tonight. Mayhaps the next day."
"Hm..." I said, "It is fine."
"I am happy that you have more energy. You really are getting enough rest." she said as she slowly crawled into bed, "Keep it up."
I stood up and quickly walked over to her, making sure she slowly laid down.
"Right." I said as I adjusted her pillows and placed the blankets over her, "I will, do not worry."
She gave me a warm smile, "You no longer look stressed." She said, "It makes me happy."
I smiled, "Of course." I said, "I do it for you."
"Hm.." She said as he placed her hands on her belly, "For us?"
"Yes." I said as I leaned down and kissed her belly, "For the both of you."
"Three of us...." She corrected me
"Three....right...." I said as I straightened up, "Rhaenyra as well."
"Will you sleep with her tonight?" She asked, "It is her turn."
"I will skip it." I said as I shrugged, "I can sleep in my own bed."
"Are you certain?" She asked with a raised eyebrow, "You seem very attached to our beds."
"I...uh...." I said as I looked away
"A jest, my love." She said with a chuckle, "Give me a kiss."
I leaned down and kissed her on the lips as she patted my cheek. I could not help but place my hand on her thigh as I kissed her passionately.
"Mm..." She said as she pulled away, "L-Let us not get carried away."
"Hehe...Yes, you are right." I said as I kissed her on the cheek, "Good night, my love. Sleep well. I will be here in the morrow, to make sure you are well."
"If you do not wish to sleep with Rhaenyra, you can sleep with me. I know you will need to." She said with a chuckle
"You need rest." I told her as I stepped back, "I will only disrupt you."
"Very well." She said before yawning, "Good night."
****************
"You could not sleep?" Rhaenyra asked me as she walked inside my quarters, "I was wondering where you were."
I was sitting down in a chair, next to the fireplace, "Well, I was doing some thinking." I said as I held a cup of wine, "That is all...."
She walked up to me and patted my shoulder, "Is everything alright?"
I nodded, "Everything is fine." I said, "Helaena is sleeping. I no longer feel so restless....I typically do not fall asleep until a bit later after her regardless...."
"I see." She said as she looked at the cup, "Are you taking to the cups again?"
"Funnily enough, I have not taken a sip." I said as I lifted the cup and smelled it, "This is from one of the barrels gifted to me.....it has a sweet scent, sweeter than usual....it is strange...."
"Is that so?" She asked
"I just wondered if this was the cause of my restlessness." i said as I placed it on the table next to the chair
"It is a coincidence, I would say." She told me, "You had a lot on your mind at the time you chugged down the cups. Your mind is merely associating it with the wine."
"I think that as well." I said with a slight smile
"D-Do you plan to sleep in your bed tonight?" She asked me
I grabbed her hand, which was still in my shoulder, "Hm..." I said as I gently rubbed it with my thumb, "Do you want me in yours?"
"I...." She said softly, "That would be nice."
I looked at her, the light of the fire was reflected off her beautiful eyes. There was something very alluring about her, very attractive.
"Come." I said as I pulled her to me, "Sit."
"B-Baelon?" She said as I sat her on my lap, "W-What are you...."
I leaned in and smelled her hair as I wrapped my arm around her waist, feeling the warmth of her body.
"Hm...." I said, "I would like to hold you."
"Right..." She said, "Helaena is asleep, no?"
"Yes." I said as I looked at her, "Why do you ask?"
"No reason." She said softly, "Baelon.....a-are you happy? With this? Everything?"
I embraced her tightly, "I suppose I am." I said, "My son is about to come to this world. My wife is happy....and my other wife.....my relationship with her is much better than I had hoped for."
She grabbed my hand, "I see...."
"Are you?" I asked her
"Y-Yes...." She said softly, "You have not held me like this in a long time. When we sleep together, well.....it is different. But to hold me like you did when you told me that you loved me....."
"I am sorry." I said to her, "I am trying."
"You are." She said as she looked at me, "And I appreciate it."
I embraced her even more, "All I have ever wanted....." I said, "Is for us to be happy. For you to be happy. It is all I ever wanted. From when I was a boy, I looked at you....and to me, you were a goddess....you were everything.....and it did not matter to me who you ended up with...so long as you were happy and whoever had you was worthy of you..."
"Baelon?" She asked, "What are you..."
"And the past couple of months, I asked myself one thing...." I continued, "I asked myself if I was worthy of not just you, but Helaena....do I deserve her? Do I deserve you? Do I deserve to be with two incredible women?"
"You do...." She said softly
"I am sorry that I have not done my duty correctly...." I said, "As your husband...."
"It is fine." She said
I leaned closer to her, "I wish to change that." I said, "I did say that we should keep appearances....that if something developed, it would stay here...."
"Baelon....?" She said
"I wish to make that development...." I told her as I stared at her lips, "Would you allow me?"
"Yes." She said without hesitation
"You have wanted me?" I asked
She nodded, "Ever since that night." She said, "Please....."
I kissed her on the lips and in response, she kissed me back passionately. I hugged from behind tightly as we kissed. I felt her warmth as we pressed against each other, my hands running up to her chest while our tongues interlocked.
I pulled away, "Rhaenyra...."
"Baelon..." She said, her eyes in a daze, "I have wanted this....do not stop...."
I leaned back in and kissed her again briefly, "Is that so?" I asked
"Y-Yes..." She said as I groped her, "Please...."
"Very well." I told her,
"Tonight I will be with you."
