House of The Dragon-The Beauty, The Bold, and The Black Dread: Chapter 120: The Alluring Woman
🕑 Added 2025-03-19 19:47:00 +0000 UTC(Baelon's POV)
I took a step forward, wondering why everything was so quiet in the area I was. I stood in front of a building that had light coming through a single window on the side. For some reason, I did not think this was a good idea, to go inside.
My gut was telling me to turn around and walk away, go back to the Red Keep, and raise an alarm. Daemon was nowhere to be in sight and I had already asked around; he was not in the Keep. I needed someone to watch my back, I knew this was not a smart thing to do.
A note telling me to be in the docks, I had scoured the entire place by my lonesome but I saw nothing that piqued my interest. The only thing that looked out of place was this building, which had light in it. Everything was quiet, everything pointed towards this place.
I did not know what was going on.
"Tch..." I said as I turned around, "I ought to go back. This is not ideal."
As I took a step, I heard the sound of a woman screaming in pain and fear, which made me stop and look back.
I looked at the building, there did not seem to be any movement. Frankly, I was not so sure if the scream came from inside. But the moment I heard it, I could not just ignore it.
I placed my hand on Blackfyre's handle, waiting a couple more seconds to see if the scream repeated. I began to get a feeling in my stomach, a feeling of what I can say is anxiety. A woman was in danger, possibly an innocent one. The city had always reeked of crime and bloodshed. Occasionally, Daemon and I would lead the City Watch and round up criminals to throw into the dungeons.
Everything in me told me to turn back and leave but that scream made everything uneasy for me. I could not just ignore it.
After a few more seconds, I heard it again.
"H-Help!" a woman cried from inside the building
"Fuck..." I muttered and took a step forward, "I cannot believe this.....this is a mistake....!"
I walked up to the door and kicked it open, walking inside as I had drawn my sword.
The moment I stepped foot inside, I was hit with the smell of sweet flowers. The scent hit my nose and suddenly, I felt a bit nauseous.
"W-What..." I started
"Help me!" the woman cried again
I wobbled forward, knowing that something was wrong. I knew this was a mistake, this was a trap. How could I be so foolish?
"Shit..." I said as I suddenly, I dropped to one knee, looking up to see that the room had smoke all around, "What is this? Some sort of incense?"
The scent was nauseating and my head was spinning, the grip on Blackfyre weakening and suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Come now." I heard a voice say
I dropped Blackfyre to the ground, my entire body had gone numb and suddenly, my eyes were closed.
**************
I opened my eyes and I was sitting down on a couch inside a room that had many candles lit up.
I frowned, "What the...." I said as my head was somewhat dizzy, "Where am....I....?"
I noticed that Blackfyre was leaning against the couch next to me, sheathed. I saw that my cloak was removed and my clothes were revealed.
I could smell the scent of cooking meat in the distance, the sizzling sounds were faint. I had no clue what was going on or where I was.
"Hm...." a voice said
I turned to see a tall man leaning against the wall, he had white hair that was tied in a ponytail. His deep and fierce purple eyes were staring right at me and I immediately knew what he was; a Dragonseed.
"You...." I said as I tried to get up
"Do not try it." He said, "The Flower's effect is powerful, especially when alchemically converted into an incense. You are in a state of bliss, your body is soft and malleable.....there will be no result in your attempt to use force."
I scowled, "You are a bastard."
"Right on the first try, hm?" He said as he closed his eyes and smirked slightly, "You are smart."
I then heard the door open and I turned to see a woman walk in. She was short, curvaceous, and had long white hair and purple eyes, similar to this man. For some reason, she reminded me of Rhaenyra, a certain beauty to her.
She wore a white dress that dragged along the floor as she walked, making her way to a couch in front of me and she sat down. Her purple eyes were looking right at me, a strange allure to them.
"So...." She said softly, "It is you.....Baelon Targaryen....."
I tried moving my arms, but they did not listen well. It felt like I was in deep waters, no matter how hard I tried to will my limbs to move, they did not respond due to the massive weight that was not there.
"Who are you?" I asked with a scowl
The woman smiled slightly as she crossed her legs and leaned back, "Me?" She said, "Oh well...."
"What did you do to me? Where is Daemon?" I asked
"I do not know." She said, "Brother?"
"We just got here, what should we know?" The Man said
I looked at the woman, "You, too, are a bastard." I said, "A Dragonseed...."
"Correct." She said, "You would be surprised how many of us are running about in the Capital. Well, we are not Westerosi...."
"You are from Essos.....related to Lynn and Daron." I said, "I killed them."
"Yes, Yes, and perhaps." She said with a smile, "They are roaches, hard to kill."
"Sure they are." I said, "What do you want? You can kill me, you had every chance to do so. I mean, I was foolish enough to fall for your trap. That was a trap right?"
"Yes." She said with a chuckle, "A nice little trick we like to pull. Our other brother hates these types of tricks, he's more of an upfront fighter. He craves violence, he craves bloodshed, he craves battle.....but enough of that....yes, we wanted to get you here alone....well, I did....Erys here cares not for you nor what Westeros has to offer."
"I find you Targaryens to be nothing more than cunts." Erys told me
"Is that so?" I said, "That would make sense. Your other kin had such grudges against me. Erys, is it? Related to Eryn? The one I killed?"
His eye twitched, "My Mother named him as well." He said, "But he was an imbecile for following that little crabshit, Trevor."
"Your Mother?" I said, "And who might that be?"
"That is up for you to find out." Erys said
"Trevor, hm?" I said as I looked down, "You knew him?"
"Knew him?" the woman said, "That fool tried bedding me. He truly did want to conquer the world with dragons he knew he would never ride."
"Seems he managed to bed a Targaryen bastard." I said
"And an actual Targaryen." She said with a smile, "Which brings me to what I wish to discuss with you."
"What?" I said with a serious scowl
"You are to marry Rhaenyra Targaryen?" She asked as she stood up and walked over to me
"What is it to you?" I asked as she reached me
She pushed me back and sat on my lap, wrapping her arms around my neck. She then leaned in and began to lick my neck. I felt her tongue hit against my skin, which gave me chills all over my body.
"Everything..." She whispered in my ear, "I do not wish to see you be given to that woman, the one that little Crabshit fucked.....I do not mind if Baelon The Bold belongs to Helaena, who I don't mind...."
I scowled, "Don't say my wife's name." I said with anger, "Get the fuck off me."
"That love, that devotion...." She said as she licked my cheek, "Helaena Targaryen is such a fortunate soul, to have a man like you give it to her every night."
"I said..." I tried to move her off me but failed, "Do not say her name."
"I have a proposition for you." She said as she patted my cheeks with her hands as she pressed herself against me, "My brothers....well, I call them that but they were truly cousins......but they were so deadset in starting a war along with Trevor Celtigar.....but not me....not us....we don't care. We do want one thing, though."
"What is that?" I asked
"Dragons." Erys said
"Yea, forget it." I scoffed, "That is not happening."
"We are of Targaryen blood." She said seriously, "More valyrian than even you, Baelon. You have Arryn blood in you....we are pure Valyrian-stock....."
"I doubt it." I said, "Even if my Mother was Arryn, I am still a dragon."
"So are we." She said softly, "We were unfortunate enough to be born bastards, across the Narrow Sea. Are we really meant to be in the ground, the dirt, while you are in the skies, fulfilling your destinies as Dragonlords."
"It is the way it is." I said, "It is not my fault that your parents were fucking about. As far as I am concerned, stay in Essos and live your life without interfering with mine. Because the moment you show hostility, the Black Dread will bathe you in flames."
"That...." She said softly, "Is what I want...."
"Balerion?" I asked, "Of course it is."
"Not for power....but for glory...." She said as she caressed her hands on my face, "Balerion is the last remnant of Old Valyria, the greatest power in this world. He is not just the symbol of House Targaryen's power....he is a Myth, a Legend.....he is a God.....I only wish to be atop him once...nay.....several times......the only way I could do that is not just by claiming him....but...."
"What?" I said
"Being your wife." She said as she leaned in and kissed me on the lips
My body immediately jerked back by itself, pulling away from her as she looked at me with surprise.
"Don't you dare fucking do that again." I scowled angrily, "Or I will put you to the ground and kill your brother."
"You could try." Erys said, "But enough of this. Sister...."
"Fuck Rhaenyra Targaryen." She told me with a serious look on her face, "Take me as your second wife. I am in control of the others, they will listen to me....even our Bloodthirsty brother who is not even interested in Dragons....only killing. That is the proposition."
"If I refuse?" I asked
"Well, I cannot guarantee anything." She said as she ran her hand down my chest, "And well.....scandals are always nice to watch from afar...."
"Fuck off." I said, "I don't even know your name...."
She smiled, "Oh?" She said, "Are you that interested in me?"
"I wish to know my enemies." I said
"But I am not your enemy." She said, "I am named after my aunt, the youngest of King Jaehaerys's children."
"I am Gael, Daughter of Saera."
