"What are you saying?" Jason said aloud
Zeref frowned as he looked back at him, "Huh?" He said
Zeref was well aware that Jason wasn't speaking to him. For whatever reason, he got a feeling Jason was communicating with someone else.
"Telepathy?" Zeref thought to himself, "Whatever he's discussing, it matters not. I have to kill him and retrieve Fairy Heart. As long as I have that, I wll be safe from Him."
Jason's sword sudden love disappeared as his body was engulfed in a thicker black aura than usual.
"Whoa!" Jason wxclaimed as his body surged with magic power, "What is this?!"
Jason felt as an odd feeling crept up his spine and crawled all over his arms and shoulders. He looked and saw that he was being covered in thick and dark markings that emitting a pitch black misty aura from them.
Zeref narrowed his eyes, "I recognize this power." He said, "Of course, it makes sense…"
Jason raised an eyebrow, "The fuck are you talking about?" He said
Zeref snapped his fingers and released an aura of his own, resulting in a powerful shockwave.
"We were both cursed by the Gods of Darkness." Zeref said, "I, by Ankhsrram, and you, by the Dark One."
Jason frowned, "What bullshit are you spe-" he saif before being cut off by the voice
"Ignore him." The voice said, "Focus on fighting. Right now, you're under our contract. As long as you use Black God Slayer Magic, your firepower is significantly increased. Keep in mind, this mode puts you in a state above God Force. Do NOT activate God Force since it'll mess your body up significantly."
Jason was confused. He didn't know what was going on. All he knew is that he was locked in a battle agains Zeref, The Legendary Black Wizard. That and his magic power was absurdly higher than it normally is.
"What's the trade-off?" Jason asked the voice
"We'll discuss that at a later time." The voice said, "When it is much appropriate."
Jason gritted his teeth, "Fuck this." He muttered and lunged
Zeref saw this and smirked, "Its like that, huh?" He said as he swung his arm
As Zeref swung, a massive black ball of magic power emerged.
"Sphere of Death"
"Fall to the power of Black Magic!!" Zeref shouted
Jason swung his fist at the massive ball, "Fuck your magic!!" He shouted
Upon impact, the sphere detonated in a massive explosion of black light and pure magic power. The explosion engulfed and dwarfed the ship that was already crumbling.
The explosion of black magic power was felt all throughout the city, giving off a really eerie feeling to everyone that was fighting.
Jason and Zeref emerged from the explosion, clashing with their fists. The Black Wizard pushed Jason away and gestured his hands at him, summoning massive torrents of dark magic power which struck Jason.
Jason, however, was unfazed by the attacks and pushed through and punched Zeref in the stomach.
Zeref widened his eyes as Jason's fist dug through and sent him flying.
"Agghh!!!" He shouted in pain
"Stupid fuck." Jason said as he launched himself at him, "You fight Me with Black Magic?! You prick, I'm The Black God Slayer!!!!"
As Zeref straightened up, Jason reared his fist back, summoning a massive torrent of black light behind him.
The Black Wizard wiped his mouth, "I'm aware." He said, "But Ankhseram's Black Magic is the supreme pinnacle of any Dark Arts!"
He waved his hands outwards and released several whirlwinds of black magic power.
Jason glared at him, "Shut up!!" He shouted
"Black God's Supreme Fist"
Jason swung his fist and fired off a massive beam of black light. As the beam reached Zeref, The Black Wizard swung his arms forward.
"Tempest of The Dying God"
The attacks clashed and exploded, causing another powerful shockwave that shook the area around them.
Zeref emerged unharmed from the attack, as his own attack negated Jason's.
Jason immediately appeared next to him, surprising the Emperor with his speed.
"W-What?!" Zeref exclaimed
Jason then unleashed a barrage of attacks straight at Zeref, combining punches and kicks at such speed that he was unable to react at all. All of Jason's attacks were engulfed in a thick black light that combusted upon impact, giving out tremendous damage.
"Black God's Unruly Striking!"
Zeref tried to block the attacks but Jason was too aggressive in his onslaught.
"Nnggg!!!" Zeref grunted as he reeled backwards
Jason then finished the barrage with a vicious side kick to Zeref's chest which exploded with Black Light.
Zeref crashed into a building which imploded and crashed ontop of him.
"Do not relent!!" The voice said
"Let me fight!" Jason snapped back at it via thinking, "Who are you anyways?!"
Jason reared his head back and charged up black light in his mouth.
"Black God's Repeating Bellow!!"
Jason fired off a quick breath attack that hit where Zeref was at, resulting in a powerful explosion. Almost immediately afterwards, Jason fired off several more breath attacks that continuously bombarded The Black Wizard.
With each explosion, the ground shattered and quaked violently. Jason was continuously firing breath attacks in a repeating manner in order to deal as much damage as possible.
The attack left a massive wall of flames and smoke that emitted dark sparks of lightning. This sight was more terrifying than Erion's attack.
Jason panted as he wiped his mouth, "Shit…" he said
As he stood there, he felt Zeref was still conscious. He was still covered in the markings that emitted the thick aura.
"Who I am does not matter at the moment." the voice said
"You're a God, aren't you?" Jason responded, "The Dark One?"
"I don't like that name." The Dark One answered, "It's too…..edgy…"
"What the hell is going on?!" Jason asked
"Answers will be given, but not now." The god said, "As I said before, We cannot let this War to abruptly end. She won't be pleased."
"What the fuck are you saying?" Jason snapped
"Sorry, Jason." The dark one said, "you've stumbled into the realm of the gods at this point. As I mentioned, I will answer your questions later. For now-"
The atmosphere immediately changed to that of a dark purple one, similar to before with Irene.
The wall of flames and smoke was immediately dispersed as Zeref was revealed to be standing while clutching his arm. He was covered in blood and open wounds as he looked around.
"No…" he said while gritting his teeth, "Not now!! This can't be!! WE HAD A DEAL!!!"
The air began to shake as Jason felt an ominous feeling of dread.
He widened his eyes, "W-Wait!" He said aloud, "This is the same feeling, the same magic power as before!!"
He was referring to the time he crossed through the space between dimensions and encountered a strange but powerful magic power.
"Dammit!" The Dark One's voice was heard to be filled with frustration, "I thought we had more time! He took the Dragon Queen, I figured we had a couple minutes before he struck again!"
"Irene?" Jason asked, "Who took her?!"
Before Jason was answered, A powerful rumbling was heard.
Suddenly, the ground beneath Zeref shattered as cracks that glowed with dark purple light emerged.
"Black Wizard." A Distorted voice bellowed, "Your goal of achieving Fairy Heart and resetting the World was acceptable so long as Acnologia remained unsealed."
Zeref was then grasped by a massive spectracl purple hand that emerged from the ground.
"W-What?!" Zeref exclaimed, "N-No!"
"Ankhseram may have cursed you with Immortality." The voice said, "But neither him nor the others have absolute dominion on this world when it comes to the balance."
Zeref gritted his teeth, "Curse you!!" He growled, "We had a deal!! My offering to replace Acnologia was going to be the Dragon Child!!"
"Foolishness." The voice said, "Doing so would play right into the hands of the Blazing Acolytes. My balance, OUR balance must be kept."
"This War is Over."
