[Northern Front, Currently 100+ Miles Away From Magnolia]
Marching through the snowy terrains and slowly reaching the dry but cold region of Fiore, Larcade's armies had flanked and avoided the majority of the Allied Forces. The entirety of Larcade's army combined with the remnants of both Bloodman and Erigor's armies were fully rallied and ready to fight. After the crippling defeat they had suffered, Larcade was able to momentarily fight back some of the forces and boost the survivors' morale by overwhelming the entirety of the forces that were chasing them on the rear.
Everything was happening too fast; Bloodman was defeated and the majority of his forces were annihilated, the same happened to Erigor, and as it turned out; a good chunk of Alvarez's manpower had been destroyed.
Larcade, who was standing atop a rock, looked ahead. His serene but intense aura was felt throughout the march of his army, who were trying not to meet his gaze; not because of fear, but because of his overwhelming sense of said serenity.
"Hm...." He said aloud, "His Majesty....my father....He doesn't seem nor sound bothered by the fact that our forces are being cut down too fast...."
He looked around him, he was surrounded by what looked like an entire ocean of black armored soldiers that were at his disposal. He was the only Shield available to command these forces and that bothered him too much. Despite being remnants, Bloodman and Erigor's forces were still plentiful.
"Bloodman and Erigor were defeated...." Larcade said, "That is a true shame....but that proves one thing....Fairy Tail....and their allies, they're strong. Not as strong as the strongest members of the Spriggan 12, though. August-san, Irene-san, and I are the pinnacle of power.....Dimaria, Invel, and Neinhart are still in the fight....they shouldn't count their chickens just ye-"
His monologue to nobody was interrupted by a massive explosion to his left.
Larcade jerked his head to look in that direction, his face full of surprise as his eyes slowly widened. He was sure he was well ahead of the allied forces that were recovering after their battle with Erigor's Army. He had completely crushed the near-100-strong force that was chasing the remnants he picked up, so he was sure there were no enemies to worry about.
"What the..." He said
Several hundred meters away, there was a massive ball of flames that had scattered dozens upon dozens of the soldiers in the far left of the army.
Larcade squinted his eyes to see several figures jumping out of the ball of flames, almost as if they appeared from the explosion.
Almost instantly, several shockwaves sent several soldiers flying.
Larcade raised his arm up in alarm, "We're under attack!" He shouted in a calm yet firm manner, "Prepare for battle! Those close to me assume a defensive circle and prepare rune barriers! Those near the attackers, form Phalanxes and fire back with magic blasts! At once!"
The soldiers wasted no time in executing Larcade's orders. Almost immediately, hundreds upon hundreds of soldiers mobilized into their positions; the nearest to Larcade formed a massive and thick circle around him and deployed massive barriers as the ones outside the barriers formed several phalanxes.
They fired magic blasts at their attackers who were barely seen by their eyes. They were so fast in hitting spots around them, causing explosions and shockwaves to disrupt the march.
Larcade narrowed his eyes, "Whoever these people are, they are foolish...." He said, "I shall crush them...."
Suddenly, there was an explosion from within Larcade's defensive formation. The shockwave was powerful enough to send dozens of soldiers within his proximity flying out violently.
"Impossible!!" Larcade said with shock
Two figures then landed within a crowd of soldiers and blew them away with a massive blast of white and black magic power. As this happened, several explosions were detonating outside of the barrier.
Larcade looked at the attackers who somehow managed to get past the barriers, he immediately recognized the magic signatures.
"Dragon Slayers..." He said as he looked down at them
Sting and Rogue straightened up as they readied their stances.
"So this is the guy that Jason was talking about, huh?" Sting said, "He has an obscene amount of magic power...."
Rogue nodded, "He's good too....He immediately mobilized his troops into battle and defensive formations..." He said, "His battle-sense is nothing to scoff at...."
Sting released an aura, "Well, we ought to take him down." He said, "He's the one guy that Jason can't fight, ain't that right?"
"That's what Our Lady told us." Rogue nodded, "If it wasn't for her, we wouldn't be in this position. While the She-Demons rampage about around, we take him down, Sting."
Sting nodded an smirked, "Yea!"
Larcade raised his eyebrows, "Oh?" He said, "Is that so?"
He then clapped his hands and released a bright white light. The light shone all around the area, causing a powerful yet calm wave of pressure.
Sting and Rogue immediately felt the overwhelming power from within the light.
"W-What..." Rogue said as his body shook
Sting widened his eyes, "This power...."
Larcade smirked, "Fall before my power, Dragons." He said with a smug tone,
"My Absolute Pleasure."
